hey guys,

been reading all the pros and cons of autos and manuals in ba xr6t's just wondering if anyone could help me make a decision?

once bought the car is going to receive a custom tune, high flow cat, dump pipe, bigger injectors, large intercooler. will b happy with 250rwkw, so whats the right choice??

Every answer you get is going to be a personal opinion, so here's mine...

If it is a BA or BA mkII go the Manual. Much more of a "Drivers Car".

If you are looking at a BF, well that just complicates things. I haven't driven one but I hear only good things about the 6 speed slushbox. That will have to be your call.

Best thing to do? Go test drive both slushers and cog-swappers for yourself and make an informed choice.

Me? I'll stay with changing 'em myself thanks.

but u dont get the t 56 in ba's do you??

im scared off the manual because of the reliabilty issues, but I dont really enjoy autos as I do manuals.

Yes you do, in MkII's.

There's been a few guys that have swapped form a T5 to the T56 to handle the extra power they have, Brian's car also runs a modified T56 so it looks like they're up to the task.

oh ok, sweet. looks like its MKII for me then! And also off topic what the $%^ does "CAI" mean?? new to this cars and computers thing!!
