Disconnect the boost solenoid and fit inline a $ 60 GFB boost bleed valve...

Had one on my T with wog tune and exceptional results..

262 rwkw's

There's a good idea taking an electronic boost controller off that is able to bring boost on earlier and hold it further up the rev range and replace it with a dumbass temperature dependant bleed valve. You have know lost any overboost engine protection.

Using a bleed valve is essentially the same thing as what most edits do they set the boost control solenoid to a set duty cycle - so its pretty much just a controlled vent; hence a bleed valve.

Not temperature dependant..

And boost started coming on at around 1800 rpm.....

Boost gauge in cabin indicated if boost exceeded the setting.

Wind it up to 10 psi in 4 seconds on the side of the road or down to 5-6 psi if it was raining...

I got over 18 months of trying to sort out boost issues, someone had a xede fitted prior to me buying the car and when removed harness was never wired back up correctly.

Spent too much time and money trying to fix, $60 fixed the problem good.

No ones saying your $60 fix did'nt work, but its not the Edits fault yours was'nt wired back up correctly. What we are saying is when tuner's know how to work the edir software properly its the best way to do it.Your way is a little bit temp.dependant because the weather dose change how much boost the engine makes with a fixed bleed off. The edit when set up correctly runs close loop boost controll. There is no better way.The funny part is that we can all see when the tuner has'nt done a very good job of boost control with a $50 boost gauge, just think of what might be happening with fuel, ignition timing and cam controll, these are a little harder for us to tell what they have done.We often here of no TC and high idle speeds when you first start the car. The cams and ignition could be any where

sorry only have rwkw and nm on graph.

I was there when it got dynoed and strait after the actuator was put on it produced 262rwkw. I was happy. but it ran 13psi which he said was too much boost for standard cooler.

then he played with the tune and got 215 then 222 then 225.

he said the cat was too restrictive. so I got a new cat today, a stainless high flow. so monday it goes back for a free tune, I hope I get at least 250rwkw.

sorry I dont want to bad name a good company that has done a sh@$ job on one car

just got a retune and pulled 263rwkw on an up and down 10psi but then it got played with and got 250.5rwkw on the same up and down 10psi. reason being they need to tighten something on the turbo apparently. so I now have to take it back again. :crybaby:

these are my dyno figures

what do you guys think?

the air/fuel ratios arnt very good

there is nothing smooth about them they should sit at around 12.0:1 the whole way

and never go as ndeep as 10.8:1

there ia alot more to be had if they were to be cleaned up
