OK, this may seem a dumb as.s suggestion, BUT...

I looked into the whole changing over screen for the ute, best I could do was $2200 for the Colour screen and dual climate.

Now, I realise you can't just buy the screen on it's own, SO

Do these guys just buy the BCM's and add there own TFT screens, as seen on ebay and the like, or are they Genuine Ford parts??

Has anyone enquired as to whether it's all genuine parts??

$1100 is cheap for what you get, but what are you getting???

Cheers.

F6 UTE,

I am 99% sure that they are somehow affiliated with Ford. When my 6 stacker $hit itself it would not eject my CDs nor play them so my dealer replaced the stacker under warranty and sent the broken one to Ford. About 2 weeks later I received my CDs back and they were sent from ASL, with an ASL Logistics job slip etc.

Also worth, ASL do a conversion kit that provides 4ch uprocessed low level output and a remove wire for aftermarket amps. It is listed on their site and I think it is $220. I have emailed them and they said to call them and they would tell me how to pull the radio module out. Need to post it to them and they do an overnight service. They told me that they modify it and when you get it back it will have the additional 4ch low level output and remote wire for amp.

I think this would be a pretty good option for those who dont want and additional head unit in their car and also it would be a lot better then line level converters because the signal that you get from the speaker wire is processed by the unit to suit the speaker is is going to etc.

ASL is Ford's repairer of the ICC's. So the parts would be genuine.

As far as I'm aware the $1100 is for your existing unit to be modified or a change over basis.

Remember your not getting premium sound, your just getting the colour screen added to your current sound setup.
