Hello all

After reading a post about a lucky fellow who just bought a T I was feeling a little inspired so I thought id take my T for a run through the National park Sutherland, you know just for a nice cruse. Any way I drove past a Bmw Coupe' of some sort that was pulled over on the side of the road and didn’t think anything more of it.

As I started getting into the twisty bits on the way to Bundeena I noticed some of those Zenon headlights in my rear view mirror and this rather large chrome BMW grill. :spit: So as you can imagine driving through the twisty bits I decided to give her a bit of a squirt and what do you know this thing is right up my clacker. Was held up for a while with traffic and managed to get clear for a while.

Anyway getting towards the Stanwell park side of the national park and was driving through some more tight stuff and sure enough the beema is still there. So I thought righto lets see how quick this thing is. Drove out of some low speed corners and held it flat to the floor up shifting around 5,5. My T slowly pulled away but not by much.

I continued to drive like this for some time and I was slowly pulling away. Not too sure what kinda BMW was so I had a look at the web site. The only coupe' that I could find with similar power torque and weight was a BMW 645CI. The headlights and basic shape are very similar to the car that was behind me. The car that was behind me was definitely a BMW coupe' sorta like a deep maroon colour.

I really believe that this guy was having a go cause I could see him on a number of occasions cutting corners to maintain speed. he would sorta reel me in going into corners and I was able to pull away heading out.

So what do you guys reckon. Do you think this was the car on my clacker.

By the way this was with out a doubt the best drive I have ever had in my T. Oh so good... :tease: I cant help but smile every time I drive

Just for every ones info. all laws were abided by whilst I was driving although I don’t know bout the other guy

:spit:

It was probably the new 645. I've got the currnet M3 (swapping in a few days for an xr6t - no car is worth $2k a month in lease payments) and they're amazingly quick and agile, if your car is stock a good M3 steerer could have passed you through the Sutho Nat park.

However, I reckon I only need to spend about $6k on engine and $3k on suspension to get the same performance out of a T as my M3.
