About $2000 depending on source, I can fit them myself.Option 3Add braided lines to option 1??? Is that what you are saying dingah? Sorry I'm a little confused with all the options and dont know the part numbers etc... If I kept my standard calipers and added braided lines to it how does this make it better? If someone could give the pros and cons to all these options, I would be very grateful. Thanks! I'd steer away from racing-type fluids and go for a good DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid and replace it at least once a year, preferably every six months. I have been looking at upgrading my brakes for sometime now. I haven't been happy with Fords STD brakes since I first brought a BA XR8 ute, and its carried onto my new car. (shutter ect ect)Today I went on a hunt. Local Repco quoted me $2400 for complete upgrade set of PBR including lines. Went to local Tyre mob who I have been dealing with for about 8 years, quoted me DBA Kangaroo Paw Slotted Rotors front and back + Bendix Ultimate Pads - $880 fitted. They said no need to change the calipers as I all ready have PBR on. What is your though on the Package from the tyre mob. I'll still change the lines in the furture. May as well get what you can from them before you replace 'em.

The car is still under new car warranty and has almost 36,000. The other day I checked the brakes and found on the drivers side front rotor a grove spaning the disc right in the middle about 1mm wide and I don't know what from, think it maybe caused by uneven wear from the pads. YES or NO?Either way I'll hit Ford up.

It helps firm up the feel but is not a 'vital' addition. No info on cost/availbility of lines, sorry.Always run the best fluid you can afford and flush every 12 months or so.Standard and Premos are all made by PBR, the Premos and PBR upgrade both keep exactly the same rear callipers, only difference are the rotors - no size difference but slotted.Aaron's all round DBA and Ultimate set-up sounds good value if they were DBA 4000 slotted, suspect they might not be though. After that there is no warranty, that's right NO 3 years on brakes.A friend was knocked back by the dealer at 75000km, rang Ford Customer Service, was told the same, and after 30mins they agreed to cover the cost of the machining done. Also for braided lines I found this in the Ford Mods Forum. Don't know if they have them for the BA.Hey Guys And Gals,FernTree Gully Auto Salvage now have Braided brake lines available for EA-ED and EF-ELThey are available in: RedBlueBlackGreyFull sets for front and rear are available at $280 a set Inc Freight anywhere in Australia for Fordmods MembersCall us or email us today(03) 9758 6900 or ftgautosalvage@optusnet.com.au
