If some are not good ones then what's the point of keeping quiet. I will only be taking my car to people who have the best reputations and results, from now on.ie HPF, Nizpro, Auto Technique. If Xrdreaming says his mate is good, then he would be.That's my OP for what it's worth. Why else would people want him to travel all of the country? My only concern is I'm only looking for edit and a custom tune and I'm not sure if a big company like HPF would give me the same level of service as a smaller tunner.Especially after reading Dave's story about what happened to him and Bullet. Having said that if I'm comming down 400 k's to Melbourne to get the edit done I'm not going to be real happy about having to drop back in to sort out any little glitches. So mabey I should just go with one of the big guys and hope they hit it right first time. He remembers the call but didn't know that Dave wasn't happy. Hopefully the 2 of them will get together and sort it out. HPF have done more edits than anyone I think and this is one of the first unhappy posts they have had. You can't please all the people all the time. I have no doubt that you'll get good service as they'll be hoping you come back when you want to go quicker. Geea. bcl Toughest BA Turbo Lifetime Members 3,408 Member For: 22y 5m 8d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 31/12/05 05:39 AM Share Posted 31/12/05 05:39 AM Since Craig has responded with his HPF sales push, I will add my opinion for balance. There’s a lot more to choice of tuner than a couple of drag racing results. You have to look at capability, customer satisfaction, experience, warranty, commitment and R&D.With Nizpro you don’t just get a tuner; you get a company that’s been right behind the Ford T upgrade experience from the start.Nizpro were into tuning Fords well ahead of the rest of the market. They were the first company to release an Ford T upgrade kit in 2003 (ref http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6007 ).Nizpro been working on, tuning, rebuilding, racing and designing components for the BA Turbo for almost 3 years, and knows the car intimately. They have recently designed cams and billet oil pumps, and now are developing stronger CV’s at the rear. Upgrades are available from a simple Edit install up a 600rwkw package. On the Nizpro Stage 1 kit, Edit, injectors, valve springs & custom tune they offer a 12month engine/turbo warranty. Ref http://www.nizpro.com.au/In terms of the Edit product they started well ahead of everyone in the country, and Edit upgrades are now their specialty. It takes quite a while to come up to speed with the Edit product, (6 months minimum) and part of the reason why Nizpro have been fixing other tuners less than optimal tunes. Another problem for the tuners is that there is a large variation in the tuning and component state for Ford Ts when stock, so an experienced tuner is likely to get the best result. Also, the tuning and mapping capabilities, plus interdependency of mapping table values, mean the tuner must know what he’s doing. The majority of tunes for customers are in the 240-280rwkw range, although the most rwkw that Nizpro have taken the Ford T using Edit is 480rwkw with the Stage 4 kit. Nizpro have a continuing commitment to Ford Turbo R&D with the Edit product. They have direct access to the U.S software developer. Before Xmas we decided to dump the Motec on my car, and will be proceeding with the Edit product only. I have some special requirements, and as such new Edit tuning developments will commence early 2006, and Nizpro will continue to stay ahead of the rest of the mob.Brian Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/22252-recommended-victorian-edit-providers/page/3/#findComment-329485 Share on other sites
