Chris from Bluepower is a friend of mine from my ute club, he has been spending a lot of time developing the XR8 tunes with the edit and currently runs the fasted unopened XR8 in the country.  He also does the edit for the xr6 turbo and if having someone local is important to you then give him a call.

I am from the Northern suburbs too but use HPF.  Dynowog is in Keilor which is also an option for you.

Searched for Ph.# & address for bluepower but couldn't find anything.

Can anyone help?

I am also looking @ getting the edit done in the new year and I am from the western suburbs from Melbourne. I heard nothing but good sttuff about the wog on this site a couple of months ago.... and now its gone all quiet????????

Im getting the Phoon edited in the next couple of weeks, this thread is of particular interest to me because I also live in Melbourne.

My question is, can people who have had tunes from places in Melbourne post or PM any good or bad stories that they have PERSONALLY encountered.

I can tell that some people have a problem with a certain Melbourne tuner but, have any of these people had a tune done by this person and if so, what was the problem and was it overcome? I would really be more interested in how many "HAPPY" customers are out there as I know only too well that you cant please every one in life.

at the moment all I have is phone conversation impressions and prices. This has already ruled out 2 of the bigger guys because they just didn't seem to want my business because I already have the flasher and only need the tune. One of them was really short on the phone and didn't want to answer any questions only to say "it will cost you between $400 and $550 depending on what we need to do" (surely they know what is involved in a no mod custom edit tune?) and the other one told me that I couldn't get just a tune on the Phoon, I needed to replace the valve springs first and if I didn't do that they couldn't guarantee any gains from an edit!! :tease:

Please help me out with this decision!!

I'm a happy HPF customer. :tease:

I believe they are the best edit tuners in the country. They have the results to back up their dyno sheets aswell which alot of other tuners don't have.

Are the target kw reliable?

For example HPF states on their website that stg. one gets you 235kwrw is that a conservative figure or is it a sure no less than that number ?

What does stock run and is there a significant differnence within stock cars?

Have tuners been able to get more successful results from a lower kw stock car or from higher kw stock cars in terms of + kw gain?

From what I see the HPF guys have the best get up and that's where I will be heading when Im ready cause if they can make, Adams, Geeas and Robs car do the crazy things they do then a conservative, reliable and easy to live with figure will be easier to achieve and maintain day to day.
