Steve, go for a ride in a 5 spd T with an edit only, and see what you think.

Unless someone is going to do you a special deal, The tuning box alone will cost you around $995. Then you'll need a custom tune - probably around $200, plus dyno time ($100 - $120/hr). You may find cheaper if you shop around, but allow that much anyway.

If you do choose to increase power you will have to allow extra expenses later down the track I.e. clutch upgrade minimum and/or valve springs.

Steve, talk to Simon about getting the Edit, and providing 1 custom tune, you will love it.

As for your manual T5 weell, you will just have to be gentle!!

Dont worry too much about valve springs, as you should not have major hassles on a 10 psi tune. As you know, I run quite a bit higher than that with my car, and I still have std. mk 1 springs, with no problems at all.

If you want some further information about this, maybe we can have a chat at your bbq on the 8th :tease:

BBQ :spit: Will there be steak :spit:

Well I think my car is a bit of a freak also, and yeah I know ross (he is in the US at the moment) so I'll hit him up for a drive. Simon you are welcome to come to the BBQ mate, I'd be very keen to have a chat about some prospective business :tease:
