Adrian, I saw a Winter White F6 BA with Brembo's for $52k at Nuford. Had 47kms on the odo from memory.

Good price IMO.

That winter white one was sold and the trade in was a black T that's now at SeaView. The Rapid on the upper display was the one with 47km on the clock and it was going for just a hair under $55k (minus any deals or sales at the time).

I started collecting quotes 2day for a new BF Phoon I want in March/April. Stock standard except for floor mats and mud spats. The first quote I got was at Brad Garlick Ford (Sydney) for $65,800 (on road). Went to my local dealer who said he'd go down to $60,000 on road. Reckoned no one could beat that price for a brand newby. I'll keep you posted.

Hi All

When I enquired about Mudspats for the Typhhon I was told they are not available. Can anyone confirm this?

That wouldn't surprise me as I don't think mudspats are on the options list... but I asked and none of the dealers baulked at the request.

I made an enquiry about a tow pack, and even though that is on the list, one dealer didn't want to put it on as he said they'd had trouble cutting the rear grill to accommodate the tow-bar.

..Couldn't get any dealer to supply spats for my F6 - made my own carbon fibre set for the front - the rear is a bit more of a challenge - haven't bothered (yet).

No problems with fitting a tow pack - just make sure when they cut the hole they do a neat job and then paint the cut edges the same colour as the bumper - I was pretty happy with the work they did on mine.

Hi Tur

How did you manage to get $8,000 off retail? Does your dad own a dealership or what, that's a fantastic price.

Definately a BF F6 auto? If so that's incredible.

Do you mind if I ask where from?

If I can get one for that sort of money sign me up today!!

Back in Sept 05 when I was looking for my new toy. I spent 2 mths looking around the dealers in Sydney. From what I could see the dealers did not sell any floor stock of Typhoons in that time. You would be surprised how the FPV dealers would cut/slash the price if you mentioned you were interested in the floor stock from another dealer. Most of these guys acted like really bad used car salesmen. If they all worked together as a team and didn't try and steal customers from each other FPV would make more money. Lucky for us they are a pack of wallys. I can tell you for a fact other high end car dealers, ie lexus do work together which makes it very hard for the average punter.

FPV do not give a stuff who sells their cars as long as it is sold.

The dealers buy the cars and can sell them for what they like, so you can play them off on eachother.

It pays to shop around.
