Looks like Ford continues to undermine its resale and customer loyalty. Why the *beep* would a dealer need to sell a BA F6 for $47k or discount the new BF model by $9k?

Good for you Adrian but it all seems so small minded and short sighted to me.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Not as bad as the HSV dealers are doing to move VZ HSV's...

At least they have a reason, if you can believe what you read then they are slooow to sell. And if you look at HSV resale the effects of discounting show.

Sounds good to me.

I know of a BA2 Typhoon that was just sold new for $47k. Now there's a good deal!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Damn that was a good deal! I might have to go snooping around my dealer and see what he has to say...

Has anyone driven the BA and BF 'phoons (or Ts for that matter) back to back? Is the interior noise substantially reduced like they claim?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I have and noticed bugger all difference. No good having a car that goes like a missile and sounds like one of those silly little Toyota things IMHO

Yeah, but the road noise from the Dunlops can be pretty intrusive on a long trip.. just ask my daughter.

I started collecting quotes 2day for a new BF Phoon I want in March/April. Stock standard except for floor mats and mud spats. The first quote I got was at Brad Garlick Ford (Sydney) for $65,800 (on road). Went to my local dealer who said he'd go down to $60,000 on road. Reckoned no one could beat that price for a brand newby. I'll keep you posted.

I wouldnt assume that a $69k fully optioned F6 is actually worth 69. In my opinion factory options are very over priced indeed. The effect of quoting you 69 and lowering that to 60 is to give the false appearance of a massive discount when I believe the discount is truly less.
