Bmw M5 Verus Fpv F6

My brother has a E60 M5 and I have to say it sh*ts all over any Ford.

But in saying that you can not really compare the two cars!

One is a Super Salon, the other is a Taxi.

I mean what aother stock 4 door and compete with it?

E55 and the Bentley. Both Euro Sper Salons!

Mate, You T owners are trying to compare a Euro Super Salon

to a F6.

I have been lucky enough to have driven the E39 M5. And I mean Drive ( thrash )

and it was a great car. The E60 is just another level of car again.

So While I get to drive my 220kw atw Rex all day every day, I try not to compare the rex to a All wheel drive Lambo

Because the two are so different.

Why did you buy the rex ?

Each to their own interest... right? A Typhoon, E55 or Lambo is going to be pretty useless in a rally situation...

But some buy a car like that to try tell others, I am better than you, I have more money and am all powerful high and mighty. and f*cken pisses me off and I love the look when they get creamed by a car they consider "common", I had the absolute pleasure of wipping the floor in a sraight line with a guy who considered his 86 Carrera so much more that my missus 86 2wd TX3 Turbo, one week later he went out and bought the new Carrera GT, ABSOLUTLEY PRICELESS, he couldnt be seen as been beaten, oh no!

Um, 12's down the quarter in standard trim isn't fast? And Aussie vs German quality - there is definitely no comparison. Come to think of it, Aussie vs just about anything other than American and the Aussie cars are put to shame. Even the Brits are doing it better these days.

Firstly, Sorry if I misunderstood what you said about the Phoon being Aussie built. I thought you implied that Aussie cars were better because they are Aussie? Is this correct? I like the way you're thinking...

Secondly, the M5 runs high 12s down the quarter. Look it up yourself. I cbf.

I stand by my comment that unless you have ever owned, driven, or ridden in one of these cars (looking at one through a barrier at the motor show doesn't count),your opinions will change. I'm not telling you to stop loving Fords and to start becoming a Europhile, I'm just saying open your eyes to that fact that there may actually be a better car out there than a Ford Falcon (SHOCK!! HORROR!!!).

I also understand that my comments will get me no-where on a Ford XR6T forum, but really - look outside the square and open your eyes a bit.

I've been in more BMW's than most people, M3's and M5's included (not the current model though,) have run a new '05 model M5 which can't of had the POWER button down as it went backwards from my rear bumper. Personally BMW wise I think that the new 6 series car is awesome on paper but doesn't do it for as the old 6 series coupe still does, god they are a horny looking ride.

I wouldn't knock an M5 as a awesome car, they are fantastic as are most BMW's, but as with all cars they have their compromises.

Would I buy an M5 if spending that amount of dough was as easy as spending the money an F6 costs, probably not as I'm a died in the wool Aussie/Ford head and proud of it. I'd rather steal some ideas of BCL/GEEA/ADAM/XLR8ed/SPIKO and make my own beast of mammoth proportions.

As for my maturity or IQ levels, find someone who you can get a ride out of as there aren't enough letters in the alphabet to get my blood boiling by suggsting I'm childish, ask about the place dude, it won't happen.

The Ariel Atom would take an M5 driver and rub their faces in dust, that thing would have it in the straight line and in the twisty bits and as a bonus you get a free hair & face makeover with all the G's you'll be pullin' which would make even Michael Jacko Jackson happy!!!

Watch this space as I save my change for the Atom and I'll make those M5 guys cry like babies.

I actually cant believe that this conversation is even taking place, let alone 3 pages of it, I love the BA BF Falcon, its definately the best car Ford Australia has ever built, and yes its a first class car for the market it is in, BUT, like Dallas says, its a whole host of other stuff that makes ownership of a car like a Bimmer a great experiance, like the loan car and"oh they all do that" sort of stuff, it just dosent happen, also apples and apples, ie stock versus stock, the Bimmer will kill a T, Phoon, GT or any other Falcon you would like to throw at it.
