GT-P was edited with a Genric tune.

I have 3 maps and only one doesn't ping.

I thought wow when first driving shifts firmer rev limiter slightly upped. (A4 Box)

Gteched it and ran mid 14's :tease: (I can do that easy enuff stock)

Put the Factory tune in and ran mid to low 14's this was after the runs with tune in. So car had heat soak.

Well first impressions of EDIT with generic tunes is that all it is Quick shifter and something that takes rev limiter away. Just an expensive thing that made no difference to to 1/4 mile performace. Only to ya Buttometer due to hard shifts.

Will have to get a custom tune to see if makes much difference. At the mo it's a Peice of SH*T...

I will just have to keep the box till I get ma T by the loox...

The key is in the custom tune. The variance engine to engine from Ford is ridiculous IMO so the success of the generic tunes is random at best.

I bet if you get a custom tune, you would change your mind.

While the Ed it is more noticable in a T, the Boss will get gains if it is tuned to YOUR motor.

My XR8 has been edited ( generic ) since January.

There is a substantial difference to quickness off the line due to Torque Tag tweaking. ( more engine power made available over stock Ford software ).

There is substantial difference to my shifts, she will chirp really, really well into second ( auto ) if I'm doing my bit well.

She definately hikes better from off the line right through to redline with the cruddy below 3000 rpm Ford software sluggishness replaced with some eagerness to get up and go.

I have found reflashing the edit in regularly is good practise, about once a month, I think our learning computer corrupts the tune over time.

I have not finished modding so don't run a custom tune yet.

Mods at the mo are, CAI, BMC air filter, BPT helix milled smooth, Herrod underdrives, performance thermostat and of course edit.

I run 96 octane tune with Vortex 95 fuel.

Best E.T.by g-tech ss pro is 13.22 @ 119 mph.

I'm pretty happy with my edit.
