Im just wondering what people thought's are regarding guys who put GT/F6 body parts on the T 's because personally I think there bringing Ford down to a level where Expensive Daewoo are with there fake clubbys you see getting around ,I understand guys who want to make there cars a bit more unqiue with xr8 bonnets and maybe a wing but to put on GT front bars and sometimes rear bars surely can only be bad for the brand and its image,Whats next BA xr fronts on Au's

Just my opinion,time to put the flame suit on

BA front's on AU's, been done in Adelaide. There is a black AU XR8 getting around with a BA XR8 front including the bonnet bulge. Looks ok, but not something I would do.

and if someone puts a GT or T kit on a stock 6cyl XT and gets severely flogged in a drag, then he is the one who looks like an all show no go showpony mofo..

it will just encourage the winners to drag the next GT or T they come across that will be a proper one and will embarrass them back..

Problem is when a XT with a T or GT bodykit gets ripped by a VB 253 they brag to there mates how they chopped a T and then someone will say sure it was'nt a tranny

I don't mind people making mods to their cars bodywork, even dressing it up as another type of car, as long as the car is also given the appropriate engine upgrades as to not de-value the car it's attempting to look like... (How many times have we seen someone on another forum saying they beat a T and yet it was only an NA, to that forum the T has been de-valued)

My 'T' looks like an F6 except for the wheels, where I prefer the mk II XR6T wheels anyhow, as the 17" with just a bit more rubber between the road and the rim suits me.

Simon from Xtreme Ford Tuning here in Perth has an F6, and he has told me on several occations, that my car is considerably faster than a standard F6 anyhow, so if anyone wants to test me out at the traffic lights, TRUST ME, I DO NOT GET EMBARASSED OFTEN.

As I have said before, the GT takes strong inspiration from the V8 Supercars, but does that mean that FPV is trying to be something which they are not? I don't think so.

Lets just be happy that we have such strong interest in the cars, which is all good for an Australian product of which we can all be proud.

As for the comments earlier that the Ts should come with the Phoon body kit , well they didn't did they. If they did that with all the XR range , what would they do with the FPVs ??? No point is there

If I was going to mod my XR6T in the body department it wouldn't be to look like a GT.

I have searched long and hard for a rear wing like the V8 Supercars, but can't justify the $5000 Carbon Composites in QLD wants. .... So I think I'll leave it alone.

If ya gonna mod it .... go all out, be different, done drive a "I can't afford a GT car"

Their everywhere , there is one here in Toowoomba 4 sale it is a au xr6 with ba xr8front. The thing that gets to me the most is GT stipes on anything bar GT,GT-Ps Anyway each to their own

Someone was bound to misunderstand what I was trying to say, so glad to see I caught your attention Buf-Phoon.

If you read the quoted post, you would have seen that the point I was making, was not so much that my car is faster than a stock Phoon, but more that it is not a dressed up XT which gets embarassed when challenged.

I for one love the Typhoon, but as it did not come with an auto option when launched, I chose to mod my XR6T instead, and I have enjoyed that process enormously, and certainly more than just buying a Typhoon and parking it in my garage.

If Typhoon owners don't like XR6T owners modding theit 'T', then maybe this is not the right forum for you

I've had both and I dont think theres that much difference between them. Certainly nothing worth gettin your knickers in a knot over anyway.

Still got the same white roof like all Falcons off the exact same production line at Broadie.

Somebody wants to do it go for it.......if it ends up lookin like that gawd afwul thing in the other thread I'll sling a bit of at it though.
