Overlooking the fact that with the money they spent plus the orignial purchase thay could have bought a N/A XR6 in the first place.I just think people need to appreciate the turbos for what they are, and that is a dam great car in their own right. I don't see the need to try and make them into somthing there not.

I don't see the need to try and make them into somthing there not. You're overlooking some basics here though. If there is an aftermarket (or alternative model) component which aids in improving the performance or reliability, then it becomes a wiser decision to do so.Heat is a big problem with modified "T's".Having enough cool air for radiator, larger intercooler, pwr steering cooler and trans cooler, not to mention an engine oil cooler too (for track work) becomes a real issue with the standard XR front clip.I havn't made any direct measurements, but it appears visually that the GT/F6 front clips have a larger lower grille opening. If my front clip ever needs replacing, I'll certainly be looking for an alternative means of improving the availability of cool air flow to aid my modded T.I should add....Any functional mod is OK in my book....It's the show pony "look at me" add ons which have NO functional purpose which are a bit of a turn off. Bit like that colour, Phantom.... tom

What I was refering to was cosmetic modifications for the sake of it. If you've got a stock T with a F6 front bar, spoiler and GT stripes. Its still a stock T when it's all said and done it wont go any better, and the money you've spent has done very little if anything to improve re sale. Each to their own but can't see the point IMO. Posted 23/12/05 12:28 PM Share Posted 23/12/05 12:28 PM It sounds sad now that I say it out loud (on the forum... which is silent )... but the black carbon bonnet, against the (TEAM) phantom paint and the black wheels I reckon would look very different and also brilliant...Or am I so close to being a tranny I need to step away from my car for a minute or two?
