Im just wondering what people thought's are regarding guys who put GT/F6 body parts on the T 's because personally I think there bringing Ford down to a level where Expensive Daewoo are with there fake clubbys you see getting around  ,I understand guys who want to make there cars a bit more unqiue with xr8 bonnets and maybe a wing but to put on GT front bars and sometimes rear bars surely can only be bad for the brand and its image,Whats next BA xr fronts on Au's

Just my opinion, time to put the flame suit on

I am gonna go for the F6 front bar, bulge and spoiler simply its what the T should have come with and it ticks me off the you have to pay extra for the styling the car should have had initially. I personaly cant justify the 65k for a phoon, sure they look magnificent but stretching the budget to that for the sake of the extra bits of body parts is just wrong in my opinion. After that a conservative edit and I am happy.

As for GT stripes and F6 side skirts they are nice but not my personal taste.

If I was going to mod my XR6T in the body department it wouldn't be to look like a GT.

I have searched long and hard for a rear wing like the V8 Supercars, but can't justify the $5000 Carbon Composites in QLD wants. .... So I think I'll leave it alone.

If ya gonna mod it .... go all out, be different, done drive a "I can't afford a GT car"

I don't mind people making mods to their cars bodywork, even dressing it up as another type of car, as long as the car is also given the appropriate engine upgrades as to not de-value the car it's attempting to look like... (How many times have we seen someone on another forum saying they beat a T and yet it was only an NA, to that forum the T has been de-valued)

whats the difference between an xr6 and a XT? nothing just the bodykit and suspension! so why do the xr6 and the xr6T look exactly the same.. 10k gets you a badge?

If there was a unique bodykit (let alone looked good) for the ford I would probably get it, but at the moment the only things on offer are the old GT the new GT/Typhoon and the DJR320 kit, so really if you want to be different then you have no option but to be something you are not. is it bad?

whats your thoughts on the 1.6 billion fake phase 3's? have they hurt the "image"?

now putting them on a XT, or putting badges that dont belong on your car (ie fpv) now that's a different story

I would usually agree with you Jeff ( you are taller than me, but then again, isnt everyone :spoton: ) but I love the look of Rob aka MrTurbo's T. With the new front, it looks awesome.

I would never put a GT spoiler on a T  - that would just be wrong.

See Ya.

$65 is RRP only.. there are quite a few members who paid less than this myself included...

back on topic, I think some mods are ok, bulges on F6/T's becuase they look good and are not exclusive to one model I.e. XR8 and GT/GT-P/Pursuits all have them.

I dont think F6/T's should have GT stripes though but apart from that everyone should be able to do whatever..

and if someone puts a GT or T kit on a stock 6cyl XT and gets severely flogged in a drag, then he is the one who looks like an all show no go showpony mofo..

it will just encourage the winners to drag the next GT or T they come across that will be a proper one and will embarrass them back..

I reckon a T lowered with a nice set a fat rims,v8 bonnet and twin pipes looks absolutley HOT and what say Link and Phashen have done to there T's with the C2R bodykit looks fantastic and stands out from the crowd without trying to be a FPV Tranny
