Hey there gang

As a newbie, I couldn't help but notice how many of you were keen to modify your T in some way.

I am curious as to how many members choose to leave their rig stock standard?

I have had my T since Feb and have kept it stock because I use it as a work vehicle and was worried about insurance and warranty issues, but after browsing through the forums I think I will go a capa tuner in the new year.

I feel I have been missing out on something!

I had bought the K&N air filter and SS Cold Air Intake before I'd even taken delivery of my vehicle...

Couldn't help myself

I've modified my XR6T. And I absolutely love it! :spoton:

This topic has been done before: Will You Modify Your XR6 Turbo?

But since it is an old thread, and being pre-edit times I think it will be appropriate to continue with this one.

The release of CAPA Edit has changed opinions greatly so it should be interesting.

My Preciousssss (:spit:) is stock except for 3 things:

1. K&N Air Filter, recommended by my mechanic

2. Mobil One Synthetic Oil, recommended by this forum

3. A "modded" pilot, that's ME! ... adds at least 30Kw.

Reasons I haven't modded My Precioussss ()

1. Warranty concerns, Ford already "make up" reasons not to do warranty work. :spoton:

2. Reliability concerns, I'm always hearing stories of modded T's breaking. :spit:

3. Cost, not so much the actual mod, but the resulting traffic tickets as well. What the hell am I going to do with 1,000,000,000,000,000Kw in a 60k zone? :spit:

Oh, you will find something to do with it :spoton:

I had to wait untill I put some K's on it before anyone would do the work.

I'm sure I managed 3000km before the APS 2 kit went on.

Why I did it -

Everyone does it and because I can :spoton:

To find out what all the hype was about.

People who have been in it say things like -

"and you wern't giving it to it then were you".

"You can really feel it pulling".

"It's an airplane!"

The best things are giving it to motor bikes, wrx'eses and cesners

The car was great stock, far better modified.
