cool cant wait test drive today when my partner gets here! one thing I forgot to ask about is the mould on the inside the windows?

I was told that all BA's have the same problem.

I think its more a maintainence thing if you're talking about the windows going up slow. You just need to keep them lubricated with the silica spray I think its called, which your dealer will do for you everytime the car goes in for service if you ask. :spit:

I purchased an '03 Ex Telstra XR6T last month. (Black, sunroof, leather, premium sound, side air bags)

Things to note..

1) My center console has had a fair chunk cut out of the inside of it for a hands free-kit to be fitted.

2) My car (apparently all Telstra Fords) is fitted with auto-on headlights. The headlights are switched on automatically when the ignition is turned to the on position. This is a hard-wired modification that was done specifically for Telstra, and will cost around $80 to have removed.

3) I'm in the process of arguing with the dealer, as he told me the car had 12mths rego, but when the new sticker arrived it was only for 3 months. Apparently Telstra has a deal with Vic roads to register vehicles for 3mths at a time, and the re-registered it before they sent it to auctions.

Other than that I'm pretty happy with my Ex Telstra T.

Caleb.

You will find most company cars will head this way as it is an OHS issue that allot of companys insist on :spit:

Doesn't that just pizz you off. Don't worry, I guess next time you'll be better prepared. I had to move fast on my first XR6 n/a coz I knew it was a good deal after I had been scanning what was on offer for several weeks.

Good luck in your searches!

And they used to have a dob-in sticker on the rear bumper that somehow used to always blow off after rounding the first corner leaving the dealership :spoton:

I also bought an ex Telstra Car. Mercury Silver with only Side Airbags though. It was very tidy, other than the front bumper scratched badly (underneath) and the drivers mirror has a slight mark. All in all, the car is in good shape. As mentioned, the service history is first class, never missed a service, has had Mobil 1 oil all its life. It had done 60K's when I got it but had already had its big 60K Service. Gotta love fleet cars!

I also have the hole inside my centre console. Not really a big deal though.

Would not hesitate to buy an ex-Telstra car again. I wonder if they run Phoon's??
