Ignore all those other people, they are all jealous. :spoton:

Anywhere on the Northside of Canberra is good...say Gungahlin area...way better than Tuggerananong! :spoton:

15 mins drive to City centre, 15 mins drive to Belconnen.

Welcome mate!

Ok, Just make sure you avoid these suburbs-

Queanbeyan (unless your car is over insured!)

Charnwood (just a northern version of Queanbeyan!)

Gordon (Is half way to cooma)

Dunlop (Half way to no where!)

Theres a start! What sort of place you looking for, What budget?

Thanks! I think I'll be put up by work for a little while initially (couple weeks I hope). What I'll be looking for after that, is maybe a 2 bedroom place, preferably with a garage for the phoon.

It's just me, so a 3 bedroom place would be too big. Seems I'm looking at ~$300/week for a 2 bedroom house? Damn.

Welcome to Canberra :)

A good place to scope out housing is

www.allhomes.com.au

They have a rental section.

If you need a hand for anything, just holler.

Best of luck to you!

I used to live in Kingston, top spot, especially if your after somewhere central close to what little night life canberra has. I think that the geographical center of canberra is Woden so burbs like Swinger Hill are also good (I lived there also for a while.....swing,,swing....schwing!!)

Keep coming south mate.

Hey Danno,

I've just moved to Qbn!! I got a house given to me here, sooooo I cant complain! But its actually not as bad as I thought it would be! I was really considering renting it out, and buying elsewhere.. I'll do that in the future. But, as far getting to work, 8 mins down canberra ave and I'm there!! (that's at 6am with no one around and a little T fun!). Its actually quite close to woden civic and tugg!

Now if only the people that sit on the porch drinking out of a brown paper bag would stop perving on my T!! Makes me slightly nervous!

Good luck with the new move Savage!

Yeah !

Me, my T and the CV8Z work car live in Queanbeyan !

The CV8Z sits outside of course :)

Although, people here do not like being overtaken !

Countless round-a-bout rumbles have seen me now keeping score of the big fingers in my rear view mirror. :spoton:
