Dave loyalty needs to be earned. You shouldn't be giving it unconditionally.

It would of been over for me the moment they said your problem was all in your head. WTF! Who says that to customers?

There's only one way to show them how unhappy you are (no Vik, I don't mean bag them everywhere you can) and that to go somewhere else.

We are spoilt for choices when it comes to tuners here in Victoria. Why don't you make good use of it?

It's a shame to see HPF, who is one of the best, treat their customers like this.

You are right there are many choices of tuners out there, especially in Melbourne. The fact remains though that of all the tuners in Melbourne, or the whole of Australia for that matter, HPF have the most runs on the board. I believe they have also done more edits than any other tuner aswell and we don't hear too many complaints.

I personally have been using HPF to tune my "T" for over 2 years and know them better than most. I don't doubt Dave's side of the story. I have spoken to Rob about this and the story is similar but not exactly the same. I know both Rob and Dave very well. I know that Rob doesn't always return calls. It doesn't matter if you're his best customer or making an enquiry, he's justy not good at returning calls. Rob's a Mechanic first and a business man a distant second. He builds cars with a passion and this shows in the results and also the lengths he'll go to to help his customers get results. Anyone that has been to see Rob at work would know this. Rob had no idea that Dave was unhappy with him. He remembers talking to Dave but wasn't aware that he had upset him. I've told him twice that he needs to ruing Dave to clear this up and he has agreed both times. He has yet to do this and more than likely will forget to do so. This is not because he doesn't care about Dave. He's aware that Dave is going to spend alot more on his car. This is because he's focused on the other cars he currnetly has in the shop and trying to get them exactly how the owner wants them. When Dave drops round to see Rob, this will all be sorted out and any issues will be cleared up.

I think what a lot of people with T's don't appreciate is the amount of power their cars have. It was only 3-5 years ago that 500rwhp would have won HP Hero's at SummerNats. My car at this years AME show in Melbourne made 502rwhp and there are quite a few with alot more than that and lots with similar power. We get occasional cpu glitches and b**ch and moan like little girls because the car isn't running like a Swiss watch 24/7.

With the power we have and the relative ease with which we got it, the few minor glitches we have are nothing. Any car with over 300rwkw's is generating way in excess of what 99% of performance cars in Australia have ever made. The heat, stress and loads that are cars are under is bound to cause little glitches occasionally. Except for when CV or auto parts have failed, I've yet to experience any problems that I haven't been able to fix by turning the car off and restarting it. Considering what my car is cabable of I'm happy with this situation.

I know what you have said about Rob that he is forgetfull but it is getting to the stage where I have rung so many times without any reply and I am getting pretty f*cking pissed about it.

You know Craig that I have my own business as a builder and im sure if one of my clients rang all the time and I didnt ring him back because I was making sure that all the other buildings I was constructing was perfect he would be pretty pissed off, and I doubt I would get any more work from him.

Both you and Adam have great car's and HPF have done a great job on your car's and they treat you great but that's only because you guy's put thier name up in lights, the rest of us dont and so our treatment is not the same as yours.

As I said you can say Rob is a mechanic and not a business man but he still knows how to use the phone, I would bet if someone had not payed him he would not forget to ring. I think my situation differ's alot from Adam and yourself as I dont bring anything to HPF, (my opinion and I have a right to it.)

I think you are making a big deal out of such a small thing your car is driving fine at the moment isnt it ??

Think of all the other people out there with all there fake rwkw that cant get times even close to yours .

Think of the times you have run to date and you really havn't had many problems at all and a mid 11 second car isnt slow dont forget that. There isnt many mid 11 second cars driving around the street everyday

Sorry, but I think you’ve totally missed the point of Dave’s argument.

It has nothing to do with the HPF results with a few cars, or how much power you make.

It has everything to do with customer service. I’ve run my own business for 25 years, and how I treat my customers is critical to ongoing success. Ignoring customers is not part of a successful formula, and another thought is that “you are only as good as your last job”
