If you want a car that 'will catch eyes everytime ' dont get a VS. :stirthepot:

Every mother and there grandma drive em, even if it's a GTS it's still an old barge.

Do as the guy's have said carty and go for something more recent. :spoton:

Some good advice here l reckon, l would be looking for a nice T2 over any VS GTS. An XR6T is another possibility. l would even take a chance on a VX SS with LS1 over an old VS.

Dont underestimate the T1/T2, great cars that are well engineered and an excellent drive. AU3 XR8 would also be a good deal, for that price you could probably get yourself one of the XR8 rebels, they were a good looking car too :stirthepot:

How about a series 1 VT GTS? I have seen a few of them for less then 25k. Also VT series 1 Senators for under 25k. Or even better get a nice clean Clubsport 195i for under 20k, get a nice exhaust, clean the heads up, nice big cam and it should go as good as the 220i.

Other then them you would be looking at AU T series or an AUIII XR8.

Good Luck! :stirthepot:

Bloody oath I've seen a few going for below $30k lately!

Who wants an eight when you can have a T??

Stuff the rumble of a V8, when you can have the whistle of a turbo!!!

I just bought an 07/2004 citric acid Mk1 with 20,000klms for $27,300 inc GST fully optioned, leather, side airbags, prem soound, towbar, mudflaps & even roof racks!

So one for $25k is a real possability!

That's a great price thebrunks, where did you pick up that bargain? Private, trade or auction?

Besides the color it sounds like exactly what I'm after.

Yeh , citric isn't exactly my favourite either!

White with dark tint is definately the go for me.

But for the money I couldn't say no seeing as I can claim back the GST & still have factory warranty.

I should have money left over in the changeover as well.

PM sent re purchasing!

You'd probably be able to pick up a BA with the 220kw V8 option for that price, but they might be hard to track down.

with the 220, the best bet would be to find a ghia with one as they are very very common. However they're about $30-34k :spoton:
