Hahaha that's quality plums... Love it!

Looks nice Mat... Thing has had an absolute fortune spent on it!

Always liked Supra's (I like GTR's more) and love the rivalry they have with GTR's...

It certainly is cheaper to buy like this as opposed to building & modding yourself.

Although its great to want to sell up and buy a high powered Jap supercar, im not sure its the right thing to do...

As you will know from your experience with the WRX, if things go wrong they cost a fortune to get right and at this power level they are obviously highly strung and pretty temperamental... Add that its a fair bit older (looks in great nic though!) etc...

I dunno though... Up to you I suppose. Would be great to own something like that. You know what your doin so go with what feels right!

Iv always thought id end up with a nicely modded 34GTR, but the 35 has smashed that dream lol.

Yer I know what your saying... Tough call especially for a track only car.

With the WRX it came to a point where I had to spend 30K to get it at the level I wanted and then by the time I sold it, it'd be 15 years old and worth SFA really.

The XR on the other hand is great. Great cruisers, make decent power, newer so reliability issues arent an issue. Def the sensible option.

Saw a heavily modded 35R in a garage near the enterance to the Nurburgring. Apparently far better than the standard ones lol

Your dead right...

When I had my 32GTR, I would of needed to have spent about $30k to get it to where I wanted it...

It was 15 years old at the time so obviously older components start breaking down. it was costing me bucketloads just to get relatively simple things fixed due to the cost of parts etc. and now there are a lot of fully rebuilt 32's with insane amounts of mods and power selling in the eastern states for low $20's so I would of got next to nothing for it in a few years if Id have spent my money on it.

Agreed, the 6T's are a lot newer and more reliable. A much more sensible option and they make good power for the $$ invested. Yeh, were gonna loose money on em but its worth it if it means im driving something decent and keeps me out of a hyundai.

In time, when im older and more financially secure, ill probably do a highly modded weekend car when I can afford to fix the problems that come with them.

35R's look great in the flesh dont they... Much better than in pics. Jealous... Definately my most acheivable dream car!

Meh, I would rather just go to a no limits event. At least then you dont have to buy "thier sponsors" tyres to race and alot cheaper.

I did the no limits thing over a year ago and so did Kieren. It is fun. especialy that you are beating your time rather then just driving around a track.

I did the Fabcar Rally in Nov 08... and ill tell you, it was f*cking awesome.

ended up being about $700 in the end for entry fees, and a L2S licence for my mate. etc

but it was worth it.

whereas, this even would be sweet if you werent required to buy the tyres. it would be 10 rounds (or is it 12) at $170 approx per round.

bargain.
