dmosconi - Did you ever get a quote on the DBA 4000's from that place in Ozzy Park where you know one of the blokes there?

I was chasing better pads from HiTec, there was some other place doing the DBA rotors, Frank's not there anymore and it seems to have changd a bit, prices where just to much for really just upgrading factory gear, so I'm looking at some PBR 6spot & 4spot calipers & vent/drilled rotor kits from Mindarie Exhaust Centre, seem to be a fairly good price, still pricey but better than some other quotes I had.

Anyone you guys/girls know run these?

hehe yeah Stef I'm still 50/50 with the new rims. I'll always have the old ones so I can swap and change when I feel like it I guess :P

bluute, they are ~325mm rotors, which is the same size as the BF brakes, but the BA's have smaller front rotors I believe. They fit straight onto my BF front brakes, and the calipers worked as is. Not sure if the BA's are any different hey?

I will probably have a set of brand new DBA 4000 slotted front rotors for sale for a good price (exact same ones as im running), I just need to check with Goran that he no longer wants to buy them off me.

I would be interested if they are the 325mm BA premium discs, they are 32mm thick or are they BF 322mm and 28mm thick.

They are the DBA 42107's, which on the DBA catalogue lists them for "BF XR6T 4.0L Turbo, XR8 5.4L V8 2005 - on" with 322 diameter and 28mm thickness.

Hey All,

I haven't posted on this thread before, so Hi, I'm Dene, from the n.o.r.

I'm in the process of getting a V3.5 rapid system and Chris has told me I need to get the wastegate ported, just wondering who you would recommend in Perth?

Hey I'm pi**ed I missed motorvation sound like you all had a ball and the pics are good aswell

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :beerchug:

You can either take your existing housing into Turbotech or buy a new housing (already modded with stronger actuator) direct from Garrett. If you need any more info on the complete housing from Garrett or want advice on removing turbo/taking to Turbotech just give us a call on 0430 556 380. I've had mine off numerous times trying to get it set right & have finally found the correct combo/settings :spoton:

Dean.

I used Turbo Tech to port my turbo, and they adjusted the actuator wrong.

As a result, I had to take my turbo off for a second time, took it to XFT and they adjusted it correctly for me.

I'd just recommend getting XFT to do it. Unfortunately at the time I had no idea they did it too.

PS, as requested, heres some full pics of my car with the new rims :)

mmm dish

Looks shmick Mikey! I'm a bit biased though as my car looked the same except for the FPV front bar... Copycat :spoton:

You can actually buy the rear exhaust housing now straight from Garrett with the bigger waste gate and flap. Look around for a good tuner and he will lead you in the right direction. There are a few in Perth.

:+1:

Many good tuners around but just comes down to past experience. If you're new in the game it's hard to pick someone to trust with your baby based on forum chat...

Again, give us a call on the above number & I'd be happy to give you advice on both site sponsor tuners & a fe others so you can make an informed decision :beerchug:

He still hasn't picked them up?? I remember you had them sitting there when I had my BA & was chasing a pair

mike are they standard replacement size or bigger? if so ill grab them if no one else wants em

They are for BF standard brakes but can be used on BA premium brakes (PBR upgrade) as well. They are slightly thinner but will fit. Can't use PBR calipers on BF standard BF brakes thougfh due to being too thick...
