I agree Stef, its great that these cars are affordable (even moreso when you save 14K on a brand new one!!!) but I liken it to when I first bought my WRX.

At that stage the bugeye (01/02) had just been released so the "classic" ones were still 30-40K. Moreso for the holy grail (the 2dr V5 STi) of course. To put it bluntly, there were very few dickheads (me excluded of course!!) in them. Cruises were fast / safe and fun and with the exception of [TRUBLSM] and his yellow stickers, police attention was fairly low. Fast forward 3 or 4 years and it seemed more and more young people started buying them once prices took a dive and the problems grew from there.

The XR6T WILL be the new cult car for younger drivers. Really easy and cheap to modify / easy and cheap to insure (last year I paid $800 full comp (45K value) for the taxi and $1200 for the WRX (20k value)). Not to mention they arent buying a 15 y/o import.

:spoton: I totally agree with all this - especially as a young bloke - I will be inevitably be generalised with young hoons when that is certainly not the case. :roflmbo:

On another note, I got a receipt from woollies liquor that enables me to get $0.20 off every litre of fuel purchased in a single transaction from Caltex. It's good for 150 litres. It would be a real shame to see any of it go to waste; I will only use about 40 litres and my mate no more than 50, leaving about 60 litres left to get discounted.

If you live near the Midland area my mate and I could meet someone at Bellevue Caltex on Gt Eastern Hwy on cheap Tuesday evening and all fill up using this one receipt. I just drove past that Caltex on my way home - $1.42 per litre for 91RON - I daresay it will drop slightly for the beginning of the price cycle on Tuesday, so you could possibly fill for $1.20ish plus the premium excess.

PM or call me on 0437 3933 13 if you want in. First in, best dressed. Probably best to text me actually..... I got skool 2mo.

I agree with all being said also

I am a firm beleiver that the government needs to do somthing about the 'p' plate system

just extending the proby period or limiting passengers is crap

I think all 'p' plate drivers should have to pass advanced driver cources and I think those corces should be relevant to the type of car you will be purchacing and this should be on your licence

so for example

stage 1: frnt wheel drive <3ltrs n/a and forced

stage 2: mid size front and rwd na and forced

stage 3: large car na and forced

stage 4: performance

so if you want and can afford a large or performance car at 18 then you should have the right to buy one but you have to be deemed compotent to drive it

what is the point in learning to drive in a 1.8ltr dihatsu bloody charade then jumping in a turbo/v8 rear wheel drive sedan as your daily driver

just some thoughts

Goran and I painted his brakes this weekend, it made a huge difference and looks sweet against his new silver rims.

So as you do, we took a few photos afterwards :)

It looks to be in Ozzy Park on Howe Street. Vogue lightning warehouse. Just behind the new building they are slowly finishing (which will be vogue lighting!)

Also next to Better Pets and Gardens, so when your finished taking pics you can come buy lots of stuff for your pets and gardens off me :D
