Guys, anyone into bikes or can recomend a good learning school?

Im starting to loose motivation at the fuel pump and im weighing up the pro's and con's of something different.. Always wanted to ride one but I never have so it would be like learning to drive an F1 car.

4 years ago I said no way (or I would be dead) but some serious traffic incidents (was lucky I didnt end up on channel 7 news twice for stupid speeds) have left me with a healthy respect for my license and a lot more common sense and understanding how things could go wrong!

Pro's:

Can buy new bikes for much less than a new car (save some money to buy a house one day!)

After the initial learning period, you could get a bike that will be quicker than you would ever need

Fuel would be better

No mods

They look porn.

Can still do plenty of track days / sunday morning cruises out into the outskirts of Perth.

Cons:

Dickhead drivers (although that really applies on both sides)

Cant really ride in winter so you need a cheap daily

Death / Injury

I dont mind getting hurt (got lots of protection!) but the death / serious injury bit is of slight concern... Anyone can kill themselves out of stupidity but I wouldnt want someone else to do it lol

I understand what you mean about the petrol thing that's for sure. But by the time you get your licence, buy your helmet, gloves, boots etc etc, then you buy a bike and of coarse it wont be a piece of sh*t, licence, stamp duty and insurance, add all that up and it equals to alot of fuel tanks of juice.

I'm noway against bikes and I would love to have one, but as you said, there are alot of idiots on the road and at least with some thin metal and plastic around you, you may stand half a chance.

Anyway that's my 5 cents worth (you can't get 2 cents anymore) and no doubt I will be still jealous of all the other people who have bikes anyway. Goodluck

Spotted a T in the undercover carpark at Whitfords on Tuesday night, I was there to see The Happening. Number plates were [QUIKRNU] or something to that effect. It looked stock, but with plates like that, I hope you are!

that car is in my street I dont think he is on this forum.. spotted blue unmarked xr6t cop car plates where 1cwm899 also a black xr6t doing down roe hwy didnt get the plates but had a young guy in it

man motorbikes can be really fun but dangerous at times. But the prices make the diff.

Hey guys going to mindarie custom exhausts tomoz. Getting pacemaker extras. Cat system. And a manta exhaust system. Paying 1800 for it. Reckn that's an alrite price?? They good brands? I've heard of pacemakers but not manta.

yer manta system is cheap its painted cheap to so can be made of the best piping.not saying want be any good just cheap.my nefu has a ba xr6 liek you and has the hole pasemaker system sounds greta kill he puts his foot down and is drowey as but guess its ok if that's wat you like.ask macey wat he has that's sounds good and makes good power.
