yea, I did it just a few weeks ago. its real easy! if it just whirrs when you push the remote, then the plastic cog has snapped. there are repair kits available on ebay but it is $50 for a 50c cog and a $2 motor that you dont even need. pita but that is the cheapest solution. its easy to pull the inside door skins off, and you will need a t0rx t30 bit to undo some bolts, but it is simple as.

Cheers for the heads up on the torx bit! I'll get into it soon, I can get replacement motors for about $160 from centre ford (better than $300 they charge to do it!) and they supply a different harness to prevent the voltage spike which makes them fail.

you reckon it'll sound like a supercharger?

Just think of the P platers in their Excels creaming their pants over it

That is the phone number the fax is a different number. Maybe he closed for easter.

Possible. It may have been the alarm system too and not the fax. I'll try again on Tuesday.

id be a little wary of this 'safety harness'. im pretty sure there is only a harness so the whole mechanism is interchangeable between the au's, ba's and bf's. there are only so many failures due to the skinny plastic cog that breaks because it is under-engineered imo
