Nah its got the used SSL springs on the front shock, but I want to use the new SSL/SSSL combo I have and sell the used springs later.

I thought all you had to do was use those spring clamps, compress them low enough, undo a bolt up top, shimey it nicely and put back together I.e. 5 min job each side.

Easier said than done.

I tried swapping springs on the blue Tornado with some spring compressor thingies.

It was getting too dangerous. Way too much force built up in the spring tension, and I knew that if something slipped then I'd cop some broken bones in my fingers. I ended up taking the shocks and springs to a suspension place the next day.

And yeh....difference is when I f*ck something up...I just cry, get frustrated and give up and call the expert. Then I would have wasted time, effort and end up being in a worse position I.e. can't drive it to the mechanic cause I've buggered it up. Plus where I live sucks balls for working on car (single driveway/garage, angled driveway, just a bad time all round really LOL)

I've had some ripper moments here... 5am... can't figure out how to put something back together... angry... frustrated.. wanna give up... but the taxi has to be back in one piece and working before the day driver turns up at around 7am.

Can't really call people for advice at 5am. Although I have since found someone who's on call at night for $55 an hour.

However, having a go at something and failing is useful... you might not achieve the final objective, but you've still explored and learned something.

Hey guys a mate from over here is at the Motorplex tonight and just posted a pic of this car on a closed ford FB page. He couldn't get to talk to the owner (driver) but wants to know a bit about it

Can anyone help me out please?

Yeah there isn't much info on his fb page about it and he's obviously not a member here or else one of you guys would of said.

Apparently it rained at the plex tonight and some ute hit the wall big time
