lol I tried best I could with tools on hand. Where it joins the pipe is like 2.75" or maybe 2.5"

Did you mean the centre section of the cat? Not the pipe taper off?

Basically will a 3.5" outlet of a cat bolt to mid section pipe.

Is the mid section pipe 3" or 3.5"

Is that the bit after the flange further down from the cat? But before first muffler?

Or you mean the bit further up before the cat, where I can't reach?

Its the same diameter at that flange, I think it gets wider after the bend there later on...
