She was fine because of the jacket and offered it to me. Clearly my first mistake was in accepting. Second was forgetting I have sh!t mates. I think I'll bring my own next time.

I'm in for archery. Use to do it as a kid. Fun times. Maybe I'll start a thread for a day out there..... Maybe. See what times work for peoples. Need to be home for it

I'd be keen, seems like fun.

One of my uncles owns an archery joint in Melbourne. It's opposite the DFO in Moorabin (I think). Went a few times, first time I did archery, was good fun :) Did pretty well too.

So you did get a good pic after all.......let the record show it was a very tight fit and I'm comfortable with my masculinity, just don't like being cold.

I think I'm going for the Samick Sage Recurve. Cheap at $250 and reviews are overwhelmingly positive as an entry level to intermediate bow, and I like the feel\experience of the recurve bows better than the mechanical compound bows despite being less accurate/consistent. Also less to worry about in terms of bow "tuning". Plus since it's a takedown design the limbs can be changed for higher/lower draw weight items without buying a whole new bow. Might start on 30 or 35lb and see how I go!

Haha I got a few more of you trying to avoids the camera :P

The recurve bow would suit the jacket ;) haha

I like the diamond edge cause you can adjust it anywhere from 5 pound up to 70 and can also adjust the draw length heaps! 80% let off too.

Sounds like a decent amount of people are interested. Maybe we should organise a cruise up there and have a crack?

You know recurves are the more difficult option. No easy tension let off aiming to be had. But you won't fit the jacket so don't worry :P

Archery cruise FTW!

Ive somehow twinged my shoulder (no, its the other arm) and managed to convince the missus it would be a bad idea for me to clean out and reorganise the shed like shes been asking for weeks.

So instead, we're going to take the ute for a cruise to Bakers Hill for a pie for lunch and a takeaway vanilla slice.

that's what I call win/win.
