Nice one Double R Ron. Your back will thank you.

My workshop is under the house main roof. Ceiling is 30 courses. Gives enought lift on the hoist for service work,brake/suspension work/trans service etc. Just not ideal for slinging gearboxes etc.

In summary doitfgt.

Was having visions of using something like this for its portability

Well atm its in steering wheel and whole car (I.e. if I rest my left leg on centre console area then can feel vibrations - so that means coming from rear and cause steering wheel its front as well?).

When I had the balance of front wheels earlier in the month, most of the vibrations in steering wheel was gone and vibs on door/centre was minimised (so not sure if theres supposed to be slight roughness which is normal road feel).

We'll see how it drives in a 45mins or so lol

That one needs to be bolted to the floor. I didnt want to do that. Plus maybe my concrete floor is dodgy , then the car will fall on my head.

Yeh takes big anchor style male/female bolts that are user friendly but only would torque them up a few times max before the female would be raping the concrete

Tuff decision

I've seen dynabolts fails too. I pefer chemical anchors as they don't add the extra stress to the concrete they was an expanding bolt does. Used properley they are the way to go IMHO,

I use the Sika sleevers and grout. Forms a nice big anchor on the under side of the pad.
