ahh bugger....doesn't sound like you're having much luck with it :(

I was thinking of doing the ZF service next but so many people saying not to bother...$750 isn't a cheap exercise but I don't want bigger costs later on if I leave it

Ptr...Don't do it if you can't afford it dude.. unless you have a back up car

You never know what will happen and maintenance costs will only go up

I'd say if you can't afford your gearbox to spontaneously combust as you drive out the tuners don't do it...

Mine started making the seediest noises leaving the tuners... got like a whine when it's cold and going slow

Oh and toldyaso about the F6 injectors mt only wants to use sh*t he's sold ya

Yeah sh*t happens when you reach 130,000kms lol

And yeah IDK if I'm being overly cautious with the box....I had the service @ 90,000kms (genuine fluid)....dudes said to do it every 20,000kms which seems bloody excessive...then said I could 'get away with' every 40,000kms....I still rekon that's BS and not sure whether to do every 45,000kms or maybe 50,000kms.

I will prob do every 50k and consider that relatively safe....but will have to hit up Ralph Wiggum for some GW (cause everyone else uses it too)....a lot cheaper but not sure how I will go with taking a 20L drum to the workshop and then carting back home whatevers is left :P

Yeah....been thinking this for a while now....my issue is having too much debt and not a good paying job.

If I'm struggling to pay then maybe I shouldn't play lol but I just want it so badly and that's all I've been thinking of during the last 2 years of ownership :P

And yeah....you did tell me so....he's willing to do it and stuff, just thinks its dumb cause everything will be free flowing nicely and will be hard to hold back the power to 290....or at least that's what it sounded like to me. Its also the fact that after he charges me $200 to install the injectors....I'm only $200 away from 1000cc ones, so seems dumb to me....may as well crack 300 properly.

The other thing that's scary is getting a tune on a car with bulk kms....I guess if I have maintained it well enough, it SHOULD be ok....had a mates mate tune his BA with over 200,000kms....he sold it after 6 months so no real tell whether it all survived

Anyways.....back to WA chit chat....not Pete's sh*t life chit chat

I thought it was every 140,000kms for stock xr6t....20kms seems very excessive. Xtreme Ford told me every 50kms after a tune lol

Yeah there was a thread a while back where people were chiming in on their opinions.

I think the general consensus was that the 'sealed for life' - 100,000km is BS....and the guys who can do it themselves and who use Gulf Western were doing it way more frequently than 50,000kms (might have been GeGe6 or someone who did theirs at 20,000kms and it was starting to go black?)

I like the 50k idea; might be the goer for me :P

Got em on plumtree for $350....

But ill take $250 for you if you want em? They have been flow tested/serviced by some dude over east. Apparently from a 2012 FG F6 with 20,000km or so.

Will trade for unmarried xcal 3 if anyone has one :P lol
