I honestly expected $800 for the flex plate alone.

Mind you, I'd only seen the swish billet Atomic one, not the Nizpro one which I think is a beefed up standard plate.

For $800 supply and fit, I think ZF people going around and over the 500hp mark should consider doing this regardless.

So far, it's cost me over $300 in tilt trays alone.

Not to mention having to leave the car in a maccas carpark, alone and unprotected.

I dont even want to think about the cost if I've damaged the crank shaft.

I'm just saving the coin for the rebuild, so rather than getting the ZF tune and running into the future problems I'm just going to put up with the 'Farts' for now and get it beefed up.

$3400 drive in/out

That's flex plate/clutch bands/input shaft/new oil/steel pan + labor

Yeah I can't wait to be able to safely boot it without the torque restrictions and not have to worry about the gearbox suffering.

It never ends lol

So the ute is all done and back home.

Super quick service from XFT, evidently asap really does mean asap !!

And here's the offending plate.

You can see the elongated holes.

They said it was one of the better ones they've seen as I caught it and parked up pretty quickly.

No damage at all to the crank.

Apparently they get a lot worse than that, with some people driving them until they fall off and doing all sorts of damage.

I'm pretty stoked.
