My new Manta 2 x 3" zorst keeps thumping the floor of my ute.

Thought it was sorted but no, so back to XFT today to try and sort it before the cruise tonight.

Great excuse to knock off early on Friday too !!

Will also borrow a spanner while its on the hoist as something is banging around in the rear end so will check spring bush pins and u-bolts etc.

Hopefully it's a loose spare wheel or something stupid.

Finally, I'll see if they found out how to turn my speed limiter off for dyno pulls.

Had to run it up in third, got wheel slip and "only" got to 391kw.

Although the power is the power and the low reading makes no difference to it in real life. It'd just be nice to tick the 400 box for impressing the kids down at the milk bar.

For male retail therapy, you need to visit Automotive Paint, Tools and Equipment in Gibbs Rd Cannington, right near the railway line.

We've always called it "The Toy Shop" and it is full to the absolute brim with every workshop tool and accessory you could ever need, and about a hundred thousand that you probably never will.

The prices are not real cheap but it makes for a manly shopping experience that far exceeds a lap around Supercrap Auto's.

Take the missus or the credit card, but not both.

I went there today looking for some hose clamps and left with bag of rags, a thread repair set, a hose spring a d the clamps.

So you can guess which one I took with me :)

Only open till midday Saturdays though but absolutely worth a look.

You wouldn't believe shops like this still exist these days.

Looks like my battery is dead, its the oddessey that came with the Nizpro kit, which was fitted quite a few years ago. Not bad going from some of the reviews I have heard on this batteries.

So the main question is, what should I replace it with. Would I have much hope fitting a Optima D34 in the nizpro battery cradle, or should I go with a Fullriver replacement which I have read about.

Suggestions?
