Lennox posted this question in the recent cruise thread

Not sure what he's on about wristys for though

I drive a stock 2008 nitro xr6t ex cop car (has cop chip :P)
This is my first fast car so I'm trying to learn everything, sometimes I make mistakes like opening the aircon gas port....

give an excellent wristy I think I'll fit in well

Do you guys ever do track days? Where can one go for some more than spirited driving in perth without losing your license?
I notice whoop ass is over for a few months now

Track days would be awesome - I don't have enough spare cash around to make me inclined to run one (entering racewars this year was a bit of an agonising decision). I imagine all the corners would break something on my poor daily. Would love to see someone put one together though! Otherwise it's a case of meeting at the Plex on a chosen Wednesday night.

I'd recommend looking into racing at Barbs (or maybe Midvale speed dome) if you're that keen - pretty sure they run open slather events? Although you'll need to upgrade the brakes or suffer cooking them after a couple of laps I think.

PS ex cop car = winning

Cheers for the info. Are those open slather events like an actual race? Dunno if I'm serious enough to do that I just kinda wanna push the car a bit harder round corners and stuff than I'm willing to do on the road kinda thing, learn my boundaries haha

Why is ex cop car winning? It has small wheels - 17"s. gotta do something about that

Steve's car is an ex cop car. His even got the super light weight primer only paint job. No heavy color or clear coat on that bad boy.

No Limits would be your best bet, happen's once a month on a Thursday night at Barbagallo. It's great fun and you can push your car as hard as your comfortable with.

Tradie tool day tomorrow at Belmont Tool Mart. Usually held at the Entertainment Centre I think but was cancelled and now moved to Tool Mart.

Going to check it out, never been to one!
