sh*t man, that's f*cking scary as.

I'd find out what it costs to get the car switched over to a new remote code or something like that. Even if you change houses or something like that, they can always find your car a the local shops, or cinemas...etc and open it up. Actually just thinking about it, that's the first thing I would find out about... imagine if they let themselves into your car while you are at the shops, then lock the doors behind them, and hide inside while you come back to your car.. its pretty dangerous mate.

Also id possibly look into getting a new rental place, not only for your own sake but for your girlfriend and your dog too.

Time to install a little sensor and alarm in the garage so if it goes off you get woken up, and stand by with a baseball bat

Had the trusty bat with me this morning. Thanks for the advice XF. I had the car recoded last week so it should not be a problem anymore. Im not going to move its too much hassel and it's a nice area anyway. The police said my car must have caught his eye and now he wants it (can't blame him). They said XR6T are very popular for crooks I think I will get an alarm installed in the car. Any suggestions? We are going to get rid of the side gate and put a dyna bolt in the bottom of the roller door. Also getting a sensor light today hopefully this will deter him. Are Tazer guns illigal to have in your house? :spoton: The police came around today and took some DNA swabs might get him fingers crossed.

I will keep you posted.

Our WA cops cant catch Murderers let alone a car thief.. When they do catch a Murderer 10 year later they let them go and apologize as they had that wrong bloke anyways!!! Then there is the Claremont killings.. 4~5 girls and no one caught and now they can’t find anyone to charge over the latest lady killed and buried in Kings Park….

So don’t hold ya breathe for them to catch a car thief. :spoton: I’d suggest a good alarm to both the house and Car… Big Dogs do help ahhahaaha

Hi guys. I don't know if you remember but a few weeks ago someone came into my back yard and stole stuff from my car.

Well he came back this morning at 5am. My dog who was previously beaten by this guy went off her head at something. I jumped out of bed and went to have a look. Well my back door was wide open, back gate was open padlock cut roller door had been pushed up by hand car door open car in N and handbreak off. The cheaky bugger tryed to push my car out. I heard him and gave chase but never saw him. Cops came over did what they do, they are ging to dust the car for prints tomorrow. Lucky I cleaned it last night he left hand prints all over it.

What do you guys think I should do? I think he willl be back again. Its a rental and they won't put an alarm on the house and I don't feel safe leaving my misses home alone anymore. If I get my hands on him :spoton:

I fitted a wireless alarm mate.'

Velcro all sensors on and wireless to alarm unit. Calls 5 phone numbers if tripped and even does my shed out back. Uses I/R Heat sensors plus doors and windows. And best of all no wires.

Great for rentals.

I also got wireless color cameras to monitor who TRIES to get in.

Best of luck dude

that's seriously scary sh*t... Always worries me but im very lucky as someone is generally always up in my house, I have a 45kg 13mnth old German Sheperd puppy (whos harmless but looks scary when he barks and being a puppy he barks at any new person) and I have good sensor lighting oit the front and on both sides of the house.

If I were in similiar shoes I'd find out about EZI Tracking or something like that.. I know a couple of the boys in Perth WRX have this set up in both the evos (included from factory in newer ones) and a few WRX / STi's. If they want your car they WILL get it, or at least damage it so if you can find them at the same time...

From a car POV, I guess just make sure you have a decent insurance policy.

I'd be more worried about the mrs and a dog.. Not worth saving a car and getting them hurt in the process. Still, you shouldnt have to live in fear or move :( I guess you can only try making the house more secure with lots of lighting and maybe a good alarm system (superpursuit's one sounds good!!)

mate, that really sucks, we all feel for you (my car got done in my locked garage the first weekend in the new place!)

I got my RAC alarm put in for around $1200, and comes with remotes and is all wireless.the missus and I both have a remote control with a lock and unlock button. pretty simple, but press both buttons at the same time and all hell breaks loose, lights are flashing, sirens are going, security company and police and both hard-wired in and called immediately. they call within 5 or so seconds of activating and come out if no answer. the code pad has a code on it, and if someone forces you to punch the number in, any wrong number whatsoever and the above people are called but completely silenced.

bit costly, but very worth while if you can, for the missus and the dog's sake

they also can set up outdoor wireless ones for your garage which do your lights etc too.

hope you don't have to deal with c^*ts again mate

Dan

PS, the law's on your side if 'something were to happen to them when they've broken in'

Damn they're ballsy pricks aren't they??? Coming twice within such a short time is rediculous :surrenderwave:

I had an autowatch ultrasonic alarm put in mine after it was broken into a few weeks ago... and it's probably the best money I've spent on the car since I've had it :spoton: If you want more info on price/details throw me a pm.
