Car stolen last night.

Keep an eye out for it if you can.

They broke into our house while myself, partner and 11month old daughter were sleeping, took both car keys (mine, KRON and 02 silver Subaru Liberty number plate 1CNE 470)

Got my phone, wallet and partners bag with all her stuff in it.

Fark sorry to hear mate.

Best of luck getting your car back unharmed Ciaran :(

Or a total write off and cash injection I guess, at least they left you and your family alone and just took the cars.

Yeah cheers guys.

If I get a payout, since I refinanced, the 22.5k car has a loan for 27k still on it. Refinanced about 6-7 weeks ago so paid out the previous loan and it came with a cost. So new loan plus loan insurance and what not put me back to 28.5k and paid a bit off to bring it down slightly.

My car is insured for 22k so they'd only pay that to me I believe, leaving me with no car and 5k owing. :(

Or does anyone know if they pay the full finance amount? Through RAC

Think they cover difference between ya loan and insurance say for example u owe 17k on a car and it's insured for 15k they pay the extra 2k if u have the finance insurance thing

You need 'gap cover' it's an optional extra when you take out finance.. For some companies it's mandatory for others it isn't.

If they catch the rats who did it they can be made pay the difference if the car is a write off.

Let me see if I understand. My insurance is with RAC, my finance is through Bankwest. I have gap cover.

So if my car is a write off/classed as stolen - RAC will pay the 22k it's insured for, and Bankwest will pay the different remaining (27k remains so they'll pay the 5k difference?)
