Ahh YES, my ute was stripped to bare metal and repainted with 4 coats of color and 4 of clear. FREE>>>> $12500.00 worth.

Go to Ford and register your fault. Then make sure EVERY panel has a bit of paint flaking. They are going more towards repairing panels at the moment so you need to take a bit of paint of the good ones. BUT wait until your problem is recognised by Ford. Call me if you like mate 0409933403

I also had my tarp clip holes welded for $200.00 and all my plastics resprayed for $250.00

The only bits they do not do are door sills etc that do not see the sun. I did have them resprayed though.Cheap when the right paint is in the gun.

Thanks again mate, appreciate the help!

Titan isn't that far out of the way so I'll try duck in there this week. Would it be a 'bad' to maybe assist the process of flaking paint (using methods suggested above?)

Cheers, Jesse.

Just went and gave the old girl a wash, turns out there are more flakes than a thought.

D/side passenger door (1 x 2cm)

Drivers door (2 x little flecks .5cm)

Roof (2 x .5cm)

Bonnet ( 2 x .5cm)

The only thing is do you reckon they will say the smaller ones are just 'wear and tear'? They are not chips as they clearly show primer and a nice even flake all round with no dent/scratches any wear near them.

Just spoke to the guy on the service desk at Melville/Titan's over the phone and he said bring it in and we'll 'make sure' you get a full respray :icon_ford:

Went and gave the car a high preasure wash and low and behold the flaking got worse :spit:

Will be going in Friday to sort it all out. Fingers crossed for full respray!!!
