Superpursuit83 Member 201 Member For: 17y 7m 11d Posted 18/05/10 12:45 AM Share Posted 18/05/10 12:45 AM Ahh YES, my ute was stripped to bare metal and repainted with 4 coats of color and 4 of clear. FREE>>>> $12500.00 worth.Go to Ford and register your fault. Then make sure EVERY panel has a bit of paint flaking. They are going more towards repairing panels at the moment so you need to take a bit of paint of the good ones. BUT wait until your problem is recognised by Ford. Call me if you like mate 0409933403I also had my tarp clip holes welded for $200.00 and all my plastics resprayed for $250.00The only bits they do not do are door sills etc that do not see the sun. I did have them resprayed though.Cheap when the right paint is in the gun.

If so I will go into Ford ASAP!Yes mate even if its out of warranty.Basic consumer rights... It is reasonable to say a paint job on a new car will last more than 5 years. GO NOW Hey Kieth, my ute was rubbed down by HAND to bare metal

Superpursuit83 Member 201 Member For: 17y 7m 11d Posted 18/05/10 02:43 AM Share Posted 18/05/10 02:43 AM Hey Torquen, I would go to Titan if its convenient.I have seen the service guys actually chipping paint on unaffected panels and then peeling bits of with masking tape. Just so the customer gets a FULL respray. No one wants panels touched up.

Would it be a 'bad' to maybe assist the process of flaking paint (using methods suggested above?)Cheers, Jesse. Edited 18/05/10 07:30 AM by RHR No need to quote above post. They are not chips as they clearly show primer and a nice even flake all round with no dent/scratches any wear near them.
