too late to restrict anything when the housing is 2/10th's of the way to QLD. I tried to tell them to stop the dam truck and divert my package but they refused :(

Hey John, why were you talking to WA Diffs today? :beerchug:

Because Simon Xtremed mine on a test drive after a retune. :( (Probably that funny vibration he noticed a week before)

Hemisphere in 2 peices, pinion missing 1/2 teeth, 1 axle busted and 1 twisted, and diff housing is twisted on the rivets.

All this and 4.11 in her too..... Who said a BOSS has no Torque :bangcomputer:

It went like this :hohum: out of the workshop, then went :fool::nono:

after what sort of psi? and power level if you dont mind me askin.

Power level isn't relevant IMO. I don't have enough experience to have a valid comment but here goes!

Put simply I would just do it since you have the turbo off! I was advised that it's not necessary BUT it totally depends on how you control boost. Most tuners use the wastegate duty cycle to control boost and if it drops off high in the rpm range then they just up the duty cycle to get more boost and you should be right. If you're using an EBC or the factory PID to control boost then porting becomes more important but these methods are rarely used.

Not sure mate but damn it must be close. The hole is ~36mm on the std FG housing (from my measurements)so it looks do-able. It would just need to be done precisely to stop the flapper fowling on the hole edge at the rear. I.e. the hole can\\\'t be perfectly round, moe likely an oval shape.

If it\\\'s already bored to 38mm DJ and you\\\'re having boost control issues, I\\\'d seriously contemplate restricting the intake until you are sure you have a solution that\\\'s going to work. Being the innovator gets expensive!

Adrian, have you had your FG housing bored out or are you using a bored BF jobbie? I found that the std FG housing could do with a port.

Not sure.

Yeh, that Simon is a bad man, I think he made Ramon hang on for dear life in my AU last Friday night as well.

Why does he feel the need to drive cars so HARD! :3gears::spoton:

lmao; lack of servicing competition.....

(oh, diff sorted..)

How long has it been since your last service?????

Mate and I were seeing how long we could go without servicing our cars.. He got soft at 30,000k's or so..

Mine's been ~55,000 km's :spoton:

Better than that, I haven't even lifted the bonnet!

sh*t, I thought servicing the dak dak every 22k kms, running tap water as coolant for 90K kms, a manual boost control running 17.5psi and lots of track days was harsh!
