Mat - let us know how ya go with the whiteline stuff.

I wouldnt mind grabbin a rear one for my ute...

See if ya get a better price for 2!

Cheers.

I'll email WA Suspension and see what they say but I figure Whiteline should be cheapest via their site?

Just the rear? Which one?

well ford covered 9 \ 11 things that were on list.

Only things they wouldnt cover was the mirror smashed somehow in the driver side visor and also no cigarette lighter ( whole unit is non existant )

Also scored a new power steering pump as mine is apparently leaking.

Just wondering what diff oil people use or recommend ?

Castrol XAF-XA. Need 2 bottles and handpump is not required for a ute. Friction modifier/aditive stuff not required with this oil.

Ohh the 27mm is teh front

Apparently (since I've never had one on the taxi) if you just get the rear she's a lil tail happy so a 27mm front is a good start. Brad from WA Suspensions said the same thing. It'll help body roll and understeer (but I had WRX so that's an included factory option!). Kieran has just a rear swaybar (adjustable) on his car and he seems to enjoy it :D

Guys anyone know anything about the Austech solar power crapola that Austech are offering?? First saw the ad in the West and since mum doesn't work and dad earns under 100Kpa we can get the 8K government rebate hence why it apparently costs so little.

You'd think solar power, wind farms etc would be more popular in such a sunny, windy and boring place like Perth but seems we are far far behind the 8 ball!

Here is the letter. Apologies as its a bit long winded

Dear Sir/Madam,

As you must be aware Austech Solar Pty Ltd is offering installation of a 1 KW Grid connect Solar Power System* to residential households for 199*. To avail this offer the customers should fulfill two conditions.

1. Combined taxable family income of husband and wife must be less than $100,000.

2. The Solar Power System must be installed at the applicant’s (Owner’s) principal place of residence.

All Customers are requested to call our installer Kingco Electricals with in next two days to fix up an appointment for the assessment at the following number 08-93548968 or email Melissa Fong melissa@kingcoelectrical.com.

Meanwhile, fill the Residential application for pre-approval which you will find attached in this email. Keep following items ready at the time of assessment.

1. Complete sections One, Ten and Eleven of the SHCP residential form and the installer will complete the rest of the form for you.

2. Please prepare a Photocopy of your Driver’s license (both sides).

3. Photocopy of the shire rates notice

4. Payment of call out fee may apply after 35 Kilometres from Perth CBD.

Our installer will collect the application form, photocopies and payments at the time of assessment. A call out fee applies to customers outside the Perth Metropolitan area. Please note that Trevor is only available during normal working hours (Monday-Friday) so please make yourself available between these hours.

Make sure YOU HAVE EVERYTHING ORGANISED at the point of assessment otherwise extra call out fees will apply if another trip is required to pick up the paperwork and payments. The suggested time frame for installation is nine months from the date of approval as directed by SHCP.

Austech Solar must receive all the paper work as soon as possible as our cut off date for accepting application is 30th May. Austech Solar may require few weeks from May to sort out all the administrative process. Austech Solar shall not be responsible if rebate is declined for any application received after 30th may 2009.

Application will not be processed further without supporting documents such as driver’s license photocopy and shire rate notice copy. Please read the attached guidelines to understand it better.

Regards,

Vanessa Franse
