im surprised your even out of the car!!

looked and sounded sweet as we drove back.

cheers for the listen of the stereo, alpine love much!

Was nice meeting you...

No worries mate, you must admit for what it is doesn't sound bad at all... I do not regret my choice of alpine.

I liked the sound in the tunnel, pretty tough. Tis a tad bit loud, hopefully the quad system will make it slightly quieter, not saying im sick of it yet though loud is good for now and as you said with a stereo you barely notice it :P

I didn't want to get out of it, but my back says otherwise. Also got a bit of rattle, when coming to a stop after a bit of caining... pretty sure it was coming from rear section of exhaust though have heard that common for heatsheild on turbo to rattle.

Hopefully next time we run into each other you'll have your weapon back and hopefully wont go bang...

I have access to the mould of my custom rocker cover garnish so im putting it out there to anyone that's keen for one. I need to know soon as the mould is being modified to suit my new engine (running all but the pcv from underneath so the garnish is smooth and flat)

the garnish is only available at this stage in fibreglass but I will try to make it in carbon too. the million dollar question is how much. at this stage im not sure, depends on how many are made too. the original one that was on my car painted was around 900$ if I commission about 10 the price will be alot less and of course unpainted so you can decide on the colour that best suits your engine bay. the final price would be whatever it would cost to get made, im not looking to make a single cent on them. I understand the frustration most people out there face when they remove the x-over pipe only to be left with an ungly unfinished engine bay. you can pm or email me ramoncasas@bigpond.com

Fibreglass would melt though, no?

I'm keen for a carbon or ally one though :dontknow:

Kael, you don't seriously believe that a $300 pair of tyres & a pair of $500 tyres will be the difference between a loan approval & a loan rejection do you :loser::blink:

Ramon you wouldn't happen to have your stock turbo by any chance?

I know you have your Stage 4 Nizpro Turbo but they might be slightly extreme for the power I want to run.... Not to mention I probably need to build the bottom to hold it.

I mean I can rebuild mine for about 2200 with upgraded to .7 cover, 12psi actuator, swing valve, motor sport bearing assembly, upgraded compressor wheel, machined and balanced.

Then again I may get by buying someones turbo and just doing actuator, flapper.

hardly an "entry level" system as you put it! a lot of audio purists stick their noses up at alpine but quite frankly for the everyman ear they look, feel and sound perfect. my only advice to you, or anyone else doing audio setups is that you have to run active fronts and go for a digital processor of some kind, the difference is amazing.

for anyone that cares, the build photo's of my system http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2622687

the garnish is about the only thing that didn't melt! plastic, rubber, clutch reservoirs and wastegates....but not the garnish!
