Rain FTL butCurrently sitting in hotel in Bali on slowest net evah. Visited a few Asian countries now and Bali is the one I want to come back to.While Conrad's hotel in Nusa Dua / Tarung is the best hotel I've personally ever been in (its seriously balla), its the only place that my cards have not worked and they treated me like a pleb every time. Grand Mirage up the road is far better. Not as nice (still 4.5star) but better atmosphere and life around the pool is awesome.Kuta is crazy (I don't like haggling to save $2 and I HATE shopping). Dunno how people can like crazy shopping like thatAnyone know any decent paying jobs in travel?????you still in Indo u lucky pingpingping !!! u been in Nusa the whole time? is there any night life out that way - we only go there to jetski etc and stay/dine/party/drink in Kuta-Legian..hahah kuta shopping is like that, good for cheapo holiday supplies like oakleys/boardies/singlets etc plus theres a circle K every 50m selling cold bintang for a buck to keep the energy up hahaha.. Few pubs / restaurants but Kuta is definitely the place for nightlife. Tried Bintang. HORRIBLE stuff to someone who doesnt drink beer! I'll stick to the spirits thanksFor me, Kuta would be too busy to stay. The Grand Mirage offered such a killa mix of people as well. Most people in their late 20s - 30's which suits me these days. Aussies, euro's, americans etc. Swim up bars are an awesome way to meet people. Could made bulk FB friends (but facebook is ghey) lol. Easily one of the best ways a single person can find some interaction!!Lost my sunnies on a mountain bike ride from Kintimani so bought a cheap set of oakleys. Lasted 2 days hahaBoarded the plane expecting to get sick (always happens to me in asian countries) and not really enjoy it but that couldnt be further from the truth.Night I left I started d/ling season 6 of Entourage so what better way to end a holiday Edited 25/01/10 03:15 AM by Mat
