How long are you going to be over there mate?

Where do you wanna go? There is a lot to do and see in most places.

I went earlier this year and would have a few recommendations but depends what your looking for I suppose.

Hopefully be over there for at least 6 weeks, more like two months probably

I'm not really sure what I wanna see, the Louvre is one thing, and the Colisseum. Wouldn't mind going to some of the less touristy places too. Decided we're gonna chuck on a week in Egypt too at the end, think I'm most excited about that

You can buy a good charger from supercrap that keeps full charge in a battery constantly. It turns itself on/off when needed so no need to do anything after you hook it up :tonguepoke: About $60 iirc...

What's Entourage?

Entourage is the greatest show known to man - hot women, hot cars, politically incorrect, gratuitous swearing/drinking/drug use.. what more could you want.

Ari Gold for Presidente!

^^ I agree, if your a bloke, and you haven't watched Entourage from the start right up to the current episodes, then you've got problems! Get them ASAP and leave a weekend free to catch up on it all hah

Louvre is cool but theres a lot more to it than an overated painting! coliseum and all of rome is AWESOME! Imagine driving down the street and having thousands of years history right in front of you. Its mind blowing stuff. Even at night there were thousands of people walking around looking at the map you get from hotels which shows you all the sights (piazza navona, roman forum, trevi fountain, vatican etc X LOTS!) We just walked around Rome for days. Great way to see the sights with the thousands of other tourists

Heres a side pic near the trevi Fountain. Its full of people everywhere and there is a maccas right there!

EDIT: my pic failed so heres one from wiki

Trevi_Fountain_wide.jpg

We went to the coliseum / palatino on a Sunday morning so it wasnt that busy (we were the first people in the coliseum) but come the arvo there were massive lines everywhere.

Its such a mixed feeling knowing hundreds of thousands of people (and animals ranging from hippos to goodness knows what else) have died here.

Germany was cool but I didnt like Berlin that much. Munich / Bavaria was awesome.

where else u going? I been told Egypt is very cool and pretty cheap. When u going? if its September go to Oktoberfest at Munich. Just like the royal show but your encourage to get drunk and party with 1000's more people lol

I was in europe from July 29th to Sep 17th this year. I have the same views on it as you Matt. I was in rome for 7 days. So much to see. I too did not like Berlin as much Munich. Also wnet to switzerland (a must do), croatia (best time ever), Prague, Amsteram, London, Belgium and france (very nice and clean with plenty of sights).

You will have no matter what. Just when in Rome it is hard to find really good resteraunts which aren't all touristy. They are there but require you to find them.

Have fun

Adrian
