This also means you could sell me your clutch cheaper Nice car Mike! Have a massive soft spot for the XF's. Mine had 120K on the clock in 03 and was immaculate. Baby blue, lift kit etc. If I ever see it for sale, its mine again lol Edited 03/11/08 09:45 AM by Mat

I went to GoGear today and I don't fancy the PBA stuff for 50 clams a bottle though, but something that is still good to get. Also seeing as I'm going to have to flush the old sh1t out, how many 500ml bottles do I need for the job.Cheers all.

My parents brought one new in 1987 and kept her until after they broke up... She ended up getting sold in 2001 from memory, was a white XF GL similar to yours

Guest Guests Posted 04/11/08 12:09 AM Share Posted 04/11/08 12:09 AM If you're flushing the system, put decent fluid back in or you'll just need to do it again in a few months if you drive hard. The cheaper the fluid, the lower the boiling point! In an auto you want to have a high boiling point as you don't have the gears to slow you down like a manual. Once the fluid boils it's cactus & needs replacing so best to put good stuff in from the get go Can't remember the name of the stuff I put in but it's what they use in all the track porches/bmws etc. There's a German mechanic around my area that I got it from & it cost me ~$200 for a flush & refill plus he fitted my rotors...
