Hey Chikt, My experience with Excedy clutches has been great. $1100 with flywheel about 3 years ago. Good pedal feel and NO shudder for up to about 400rwhp (Mine hung on till 550rwhp) Now I have just put in a Texralia 800rwhp single plate ceramic, $1450.00 and apart from a bit of shudder while running in it feels strong.

Most clutches come with a billet flywheel now and will set you back about $1200 give or take. And maybe a few hundred to fit, but I am sure the lads here need a few brownie points.

The XR8/GT/Pursuits have a larger diameter clutch than the T's, hence the aftermarket clutch kits are rated higher. Excedy aren't much better than stock for a T, Xtreme explode, Haven't had any experience with Textralia single plates as yet but the twin plates are worth the $$$.

Mal Woods offer the larger (11") clutch/flywheel combo for the T, hence the power they will handle while still being an organic plate.

The other reason you Boss boys get away with the cheaper options on clutches is you don't drive hard enough to ruin them :beerchug:

Rapid V3 kit, Siemens injectors, Walbro pump, gutted cat, 4"dump & a good tune :spit:

Maybe a Beltronics radar detector as well for good measure?? :beerchug:

Edit... Throw a tranny cooler on the list as well.

I got the pump sorted, V3 kit you reckon asked for a price from rapid V2.5 springns and injectors ive got about 4/4.5 to spend doing most of the fiting myself

Haha no worries

Valve springs - $895 supplied & fitted

Injectors - $470 supplied & fitted

Pump - $50 (fitting only)

Rapid V3.5 kit - $1990

4" Dump - $500 (give or take)

Gutted cat - Free

Tune - $500

$4405

Could probably do without the dump & downgrade on the 3.5 kit if you only want to go 300rwkw but getting them will net you alot more on lower boost :beerchug:

Feebs & Benyippa - Iv ordered a Textralia twin plate and it should be arriving and getting fitted pretty soon so ill let ya know how that goes.

Quite expensive, more than the Mal Wood opt 3 but way cheaper than a Twin Plate AP unit. Chose the text coz it will take a lot more power than im gonna throw at it for now and still has heaps of headroom if I decide to turn up the wick in future...

Bluute - Id probably go for what Dean has mentioned above...

I wouldnt go for less than the V3 kit though, and the V3.5 if your wallet can stretch a little.

Feebs im also looking at the Textralia clutches. Used in lots of LSX cars apparently and work well.

The other option I'll suss out when I have money (never at this stage) is a visit to Ross at Autoclutch in Ozzy Park. He's done clutches for me before in the WRX and R33 and from my experiences the WRX one took hundreds of launches and track days in 70K kms. Under 1K too. He tends to only do clutches, has years of experience and has done some serious HP cars.

Mat, is Autoclutch the little tiny workshop off Scarborough Beach Road there near the exotic car joints? He got me my last Xtreme clutch before I got the F6 one... Nice guy & knows his stuff but couldn't offer much in the way of XR6T gear other than Xtreme which is a big no no IMO :buttrock:

its actually quite hard when you have a figure to stick too when your saving for somthing or have put your mind to something its easy
