I'm getting my DBA4000s and Hawk pads fitted today (couldn't be stuffed doing it myself tomorrow) while it's at the dealer getting that damned coolant supply hose replaced again (it split..it's the one just to the right and down from the thermostat housing that feeds the turbo).

EXACTLY the same thing with me. freeway last night and a maloo but

Ahh yes the old brake fade. I nearly ran up the ass of a VE Clubby because I had a play with a Lotus what made it more interesting was the fact that Aaron had brake fade behind me as well. Hense now I have brembos. :)

I had a play with a purple XR8 on Sun (went frigg'n good too, I suspect a supercharger) jumped on the brakes and nothing happened...and I mean nothing. I looked at the speedo and I was still over 200, I brake faded past him (overtaking lane) and then slowed just in time for the car travelling infront. Poo particles everywhere lol.

Lucky you were on that private road or it could have been nasty. :stirthepot:

were ya down shifting to help braking at all?

Yeah but only back to 4th which tops out at 190! Moral of the story....don't go that fast, it's just outright stupid on stock brakes :stirthepot:
