hey guys, since simon isnt open this weekend will bosch 968's be too small for a reliable 300-350rwkw.

Some people say yes, some people say no. Doing my head in. If not perhaps I'll find someone to swap a set of siemen dekas?

I know guys that have run 330-340rwkw with the 968's. I gather that they will do it quite easily. Will probably just need a better fuel pump of some sort.

Run it up on the dyno, the numbers will soon let you know. It would be advisable to install a fuel pump if you havnt already. Arron

You can Brendan you need tro use stainless rods to weld the two together. Only thing im not sure about is how the heat will affect the stainless as it quite brittle compared to mild steel so it may crack from the mild steel expanding....then again my stainless aps exhaust grows about 50mm when its hot so I could just be talking out of my :spoton:

Mmmm lets hope it works out OK, just rang an exhaust dude and he said he can do it.

I rang simon today and had a chat with mikey as I know I'll never get a BS answer from him (not that I would from simon but I've worked with mike before).

968's only good for "about 320rwkw". Not chasing huge power but might as well just get the deka's so I have room to move (its probably inevitable).

maybe someone will direct swap?

Xtreme want $395 for pump and fitment which is good!

Drags tomorrow anyone? I'll be down there.

Should be a prepped track after motorvation weekend yeah?

I want to go, but my ute is making a funny echo sound when you lift my foot off the pedal. Its annoying me. So its with Ford at the moment and my Diff is in pieces. I hope I get it tomorrow. Plus I need new tyres.

Geez the bills never ends! :tonguepoke:

hi WA guys, I've just purchased myself a 2003 XR6T ute and would like some advice on good mechanics in the perth area. can anyone suggest a place to go and get my turbo checked out? apparently I may have a blocked oil feed line. is this a specialised job or can most mechanics handle it? I live in tuart hill and work in shenton park so anywhere around those areas would be great.

I hate just rolling into mechanics as I've had bad experiences with poor work.

cheers, james.

hey mate, well done on the purchase.

If the oil feed line is blocked that can really stuff up your turbo and I'd be hesitant to even start the car if that's the case.. but I'm no expert so yeah.

As for mechanics, I'm not really sure so I'll leave that to the experts.

Once shes all 100% u should take it on a cruise with us some day mate. I'm basically only around the block from you by the sounds of things

The filter may just need replacing. There are threads on here that show you how to do it yourself if you are keen. Otherwise, any ford dealer (eg Lynford or Centre Ford) would probably be best for that sort of problem.
