Lol, dont be a poofter Ramon!! Just wind the window down put the seats back and lap rocko spec :P

Are we gonna see F6F in the perth wrx antilag battle during MV08..

Imagine tunnel runs with 20 boosted 4l fords running antilag!!

Carefull!! I have a black spot in the tunnel..

On the way to to Big Als, I was urged to "be sideways" in the tunnel..

All that happened was - broken oil pump gears... On the brighter side, I have billet oil pump gears!! :D

On a different note, I've just got back from Ford (wangara) and they want $450 to do the 15K service on my xr.. Then I ring my trusted wrx mechanic / mate whos dad owns and runs an ultratune and they will do the log book service for $178 + oil if I want different stuff..

Now im yet to do read the manual but is there anything I should look at replacing? Airfilter with a K&N panel? I hear they make induction louder?

Also been having a good search and im unsure what oil to use.. In the wrx I ran all sorts (both cheap and expensive) and rarely changed the oil (well over 15K kms) and thrashed the pants off it and it was fine :D

of course with a brand new car you take a different approach! The Castrol Edge sounds the good but is it better to go a 40w or 60w?

Thanks!

I havent noticed any change with the k&n panel filter but if you go to a pod intake it will be louder

If you want to believe those oil test results that were published a while ago, the Penrite oil kicks ass. The Royal Purple also tested well. The Castrol Edge was ok but not overly flash as far as they were concerned. They weren't even very impressed with Redline.

As far as the weight goes, I would probably just stay with the 0W40 although I do know a lot of people that use the 10W60. These engines are supposedly designed with relatively tight tolerances that favour a lighter oil. The 60 weight would run slightly higher oil pressure (not ideal considering the oil pump gears are already somewhat suspect), it would also drop the engine power output ever so slighty.

There's the first mistake! :bangcomputer:

Correction to that... it was a wise move NOT going there for service

Dean (03XR6T) and myself went out for a cruise tonight in good old rocko, was a pretty quiet tonight..

We went down to the foreshore for a quick look at whats happening and we park up, about 15 seconds later this unmarked cop car slowly rolls up and a woman gets out.

"did you know having your fog lights on is illegal??"

We were parked up not hurting a fly, sitting there talking about what was the go from the foreshore, why do they come and bother us?

f*cking wa*ker cops, nothing better to do then to annoy us.

Oh and they ended up giving me a 100$ fine for not showing my P's (I've got 5 days left on my p's and I TOOK THEM DOWN TONIGHT, how bad is my luck there!!)

So yeah greatt night.. Ahh well the weekend's gonna make up for it :bangcomputer:
