U dont need GPS in Perth really....

Up there in the best I have read. I have had it since I got my car, so bout 2 months, only now have I seen heaps of cameras and handhelds that I realised how good it is. Already paid for itself just this week. It does make u more aware on the road to, so its another good reason to get.

I went through a camera last weekend on the way to mandurah and got flashed at a tick under 120 in the 80 zone DOH..... then to top it off on the following Monday a cop got me with a lazer on Hepburn Ave doing 83 in the 70 zone. Looks like 7 points and 500 spendoolies in two days... Time for a radar detector before its too late I think.

I think they're still pretty expensive from what I remembered approx $8.00. (try the Quoka) They're great!!! and will alert you + give enough time for you to slow down - ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TOO FAST over the speed limit. Depending where the the multi and laser is held, your car speed will dictate your car's approach to slow down before being warned by your radar. Guest newl Guests Posted 28/04/07 01:54 AM Share Posted 28/04/07 01:54 AM You can get the Escort Passport 8500 X50s (blue or red) for around $400 if you shop around. The alternative is probably the Beltronics STi (price unknown but I suspect more than the Passport).A Google search spits out a few results of places that sell them, reviews, classifieds and what not. I picked mine up from Radardetector.com.au which is local here in Perth.

I use the 990 with a 905 Laser Jammer which works a treat Try his web site http://www.delonixradar.com.au/ as I say he is a loacl so right uto speed on the Multinove and what the cops use here in WA. Good luck.
Guest newl Guests Posted 28/04/07 03:46 AM Share Posted 28/04/07 03:46 AM The vertical mounting option is interesting. The only down side I would see to that is that it would fall inside the area where an officer might consider it an obstruction. However, I suppose one could mount it next to the rear view as shown in the photo but that'd require more work. The Blinder product sounds interesting but if memory serves such a device is illegal in WA. :/
