Defs worth having radar detector, they only go mad if a cop has you lined up with radar and when multinovas are on freeway they go mad from a good enough distant. sometimes multi's have frequency turned down so not as much time. That not to bad 1450 hey for exhaust. Mite look into it when I get some spare cash to blow:P I think I will get some 20's before exhaust maybe...

nearly two month ago one of the under cover XR6T pulled my misses over, they flow up her ass and made her speed up. after pulling her up they gave her $1000 doller fine and said it was her lucky day because they wont take her car, for the hoon laws. the thing is she thought it was a few d#*k heads tring to scar her so she put the foot flat to try to get out of there....

but the cops didn't wright up a fine there and then they just took her details down and we still havn't got the fine YET. :stirthepot:

radar detectors do give a fair few false alerts, but it does make you a better driver IMO.. I seem to be much more aware of my speed and the current speed limit I should be doing...

a GPS wont pick up radars will it??? if you mean like a road angel thing, dont they just have fixed camera locations built into the software???

so we where thinking about geting a radar detector but a few people tell me they go off all the time when there is no radar or cops, they say get a GPS instead... what do you people think???

Phillbrick123, get a radar, they do pick up signals "K band signals" a lot. But u can change to city mode so not so annoying, " KA band" means speed camera.

I was driving near burswood just then and my radar went nuts " LASER" it said and displayed, cops had me on handgun, broke straight away, drove past them nice n slow. They are defs worth having one.Saved me three times this past week.

mmm radar sounds the way to go then. the only thing swaying me to the GPS is they tell you where the radars are for the day but how knows the time it will be there and it dose not pick up the cops with the hand helds..
