that's not too bad.. what to they exactly do to the box? will it have to be retuned once I get it back... I will try get work to send it over.. should get a good deal on shipping :)

any idea how heavy it is exactly?

Kewish have a website?

Before you cart your box off to the East give Stuart Bailey of Bailey Automatics in Balcatta a call 92401259.

They did a trans cooler / service on my car some 18mths ago and at the time were starting to do a fair bit of R&D on the boxes. Apparently there are a couple of highly modded T's and supercharged 8's getting around with their boxes as we speak. Well worth a chat if nothing else.

Let us all know how you get on if you do decide to call

I'm easy.... if you went to moore river someone can tow my superduck up there. You can wakeboard behind it no worries.

Problem with Moore River is, you have to go up river to hoon around and that's kind of antisocial. You can access the River through King Drive but there is not much room up there either. Also if the bar has broken the river will be very low making it dangerous to boats. The river is normally open to the sea during winter (though we have had bugger all rain this year) however it's unique in that it's the only WA river system that fills by artesian flow during the summer months when the SW sea breeze has closed the bar at the mouth. Therefore the river can fill quite high during summer (with fresh water) making it ideal for water bogans......until it fills to the point of breaching the bar of course, or someone digs it out :spoton: . Though chances are it will not have broken allowing us to be water bogans

Aweome place and definately worth a metion on the calender. Nice suggestion Kezza :pinch:

I agree. Bailey Automatics are quite competent in rebuilding both the Ion box in the Ford and the GM transmissions, along with a host of others, including the ZF transmissions.

Better still, turf the FKN thing and buy a brand new ZF 6HP26 600nm unit. Beats the arse off a 6-speed manual conversion any day :crybaby:

I thought we where lead toi believe the floor pan was different on the BF sixspeed auto's so the wouldnt fit a BA for that reason? Would be cheaper to trade your car in.

I did my honours thesis on the fish fauna of the Moore River..... I can tell you where the fish arn't :spoton:

It was in a pretty poor state in 2002. Though you really need to know where and when to target particular species in the Moore.

Also there is a hotrod gathering on th 22nd Oct at Yanchep.
