Sat - Entire day exploring the Adelaide hills, visit the motor museum, see some great roads and hopefully get to spend some time with some SA forum members Sun - Limestone Coast, through Robe, Mt Gambier and spend the night in Warrnambool. Mon - Back to Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road (I shouldn't need to say any more on that leg ) It would mean a couple of days off work for most people - Fri/Mon for Vics, Mon/Tues for SA if some (hopefully) join us for the GOR leg and probably Thurs, Fri, Mon, Tues if any NSW guys wanted to join in and respective days for any other coming from different directions. Dates, days and routes are open to suggestions, modifications and changes, but will start off with the ones that make the most sense for myself. Will be relying upon any help from the SA guys as to places to head to so we can all experience the best the state has to offer in roads, scenery and food etc and any local knowledge (fuel stops and any hidden gems) We're looking at doing this run instead of a 2017 Alpine Cruise if the interest is there. There has been some interest in other threads from NSW, Vic and SA people towards a GOR and Adelaide cruise, so hopefully we can make it happen. Expressions of interest at this stage will be appreciated. Dates and routes will be fine tuned once it's a bit more obvious as to the potential. RULES: 1. Obey all laws whilst on the cruise; this means no speeding, no overtaking over double lines (no matter how safe you think it may be), etc... 2. There is a designated cruise leader who will lead the way and set the correct pace for all cruise members. 3. Use the Buddy system - always make sure you can see the car behind you. This will give people behind you an indication on where to turn to make sure nobody gets lost. 4. CB Radios - if you don't have one, follow the maps and directions given out. It is highly recommended to have CB as it enhances the enjoyment of the cruise being able to hear about road hazards and join in on the social chatter. 5. Please turn up to the meeting points with a sufficient fuel in your tank and enough time before the departure time. 6. Onus is on the owner/driver to ensure their vehicle is safe to drive on public roads and meets State road traffic authority laws. 7. Please ensure you have a contingency plan if you have a breakdown or unnecessarily delayed. e.g. Roadside Assistance or a mate in another car who is willing to stay with you if necessary. 8. This cruise is not to be advertised on any other media or websites or social media sites without prior agreement from the cruise organisers. 9. By attending this cruise you agree not to hold FordXR6Turbo.com, it's Administrators, Moderators, Cruise Controllers, or Owner responsible / liable for any damage and / or grief sustained (simply; you are responsible for your own actions). CRUISE LIST: 1. Rab VIC 2. EvilDaifu VIC 3. Box stock T. SA 4. Puffwagon SA 5. k31th VIC 6. MBAF Western Front 7. BAXRUTE NSW Maybes: It's a big drive from wa but can be done. Z2TT Member 714 Member For: 12y 5m 20d Posted 21/02/17 03:04 PM Share Posted 21/02/17 03:04 PM Hi Everybody. Today I sold my FG XR6 Turbo and it is a sad day but I have enjoyed every single bit of it. Tonight I took it for its last drive to buy a Pie and some bread becaus ei did not have bread in the house and it was such a awesome drive to the Servo and back tonight, the torque it had on the cold weather was just intoxicating. I have absolutely no idea how I began to like the XR6Ts I can vaguely remember many years ago somebody saying he was driving one as a mechanic and he floored it and it just went sideways even at such low speed. It was never a car I even liked. Whenever I buy a car I like to find a Forum or Club, and I did this when I bought my car the exact same day I logged on and there was a cruise that exact night. I rocked up not knowing what to expect, I thought it was going to be a big meet with people talking trash showing off there pursuit rims but it was totally the opposite The atmopshere was great there was skids but the cruises were the safest I've ever been on and also the best organized of any other forum or club. People actually enjoyed cruising, it was purposeful, it was fun. goodbye and I love you guyus
